Emily's eyes slowly flickered open, and she found herself lying on the cold, hard floor of the room. Her head was throbbing with pain, and her mind was foggy with confusion.
As she struggled to sit up, Emily saw that the mirror was still reflecting the image of the young woman. But this time, the woman's eyes seemed to be staring straight into Emily's soul.
Emily felt a shiver run down her spine as she stumbled to her feet. She approached the mirror cautiously, feeling a sense of trepidation.
As she looked closer, Emily saw that the woman's eyes seemed to be changing. They were no longer black as coal, but instead seemed to be filled with a deep sadness.
Emily felt a pang of sympathy for the woman, and she reached out a hand to touch the mirror. As she did, the woman's eyes seemed to lock onto hers, and Emily felt a sudden jolt of electricity.
The room began to spin around her, and Emily felt herself being pulled into the mirror. She tried to step back, but it was too late.
Emily found herself being sucked into the mirror, and everything went black.
When Emily came to, she found herself standing in a long, dark corridor. The walls were lined with cobweb-covered portraits, and the air was thick with dust.
As she looked around, Emily saw that the corridor seemed to stretch on forever. She had no idea where she was or how she had gotten there.
Suddenly, Emily heard the sound of footsteps echoing down the corridor. They were light, delicate footsteps, and they seemed to be coming closer.
Emily's heart began to pound as she waited for whatever was making the noise to appear. And then, a figure emerged from the shadows.
It was the young woman from the mirror. She was even more beautiful than Emily had remembered, and her eyes seemed to be filled with a deep sadness.
"Who are you?" Emily demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
The woman didn't respond. Instead, she reached out a hand and took Emily's.
As Emily felt the woman's touch, she was suddenly flooded with visions of the past. She saw the woman living in the manor, surrounded by wealth and privilege.
But she also saw the woman's sadness, her desperation. She saw the woman trapped in a life she didn't want, with no escape.
Emily felt a pang of sympathy for the woman, and she realized that they were connected in some way. But how?
As the visions faded, Emily found herself back in the corridor, staring into the woman's sad eyes.
"What do you want from me?" Emily demanded.
The woman didn't respond. Instead, she turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Emily alone in the corridor.
As Emily stood there, trying to make sense of what had just happened, she heard the sound of footsteps echoing down the corridor once again.
This time, they were heavier, more ominous. And they seemed to be coming closer.
Emily's heart began to pound as she waited for whatever was making the noise to appear. And then, a figure emerged from the shadows.
It was Malcolm, the caretaker. He was even more gaunt and eerie than Emily had remembered, and his eyes seemed to be filled with a malevolent glow.
"Welcome to Ravenswood Manor," Malcolm said, his voice dripping with malice. "You'll never leave."
