THE DARK REFLECTION

450 Words
Emily's eyes slowly flickered open, and she found herself lying on the cold, hard floor of the library. Her head was throbbing with pain, and her mind was foggy with confusion. As she struggled to sit up, Emily saw that the room was empty. The candles were still burning, casting flickering shadows on the walls. But the young woman was gone. Emily's heart was still racing from her encounter with the woman. She knew she had to get out of there, but she had no idea how. As she stumbled to her feet, Emily caught sight of herself in the mirror. Her eyes were wild and haunted, and her skin was pale and clammy. But as she looked closer, Emily saw something that made her blood run cold. Her reflection was changing, its eyes turning black as coal. Emily's heart was racing as she stumbled backwards, desperate to escape the mirror's gaze. But as she turned to run, she felt a cold, clammy hand grasp her shoulder. It was the young woman, her eyes black as coal. Emily tried to shake her off, but the woman's grip was too strong. "You can't escape," the woman whispered, her voice cold and menacing. "You're trapped here, forever." Emily's heart was racing as she tried to struggle free. But the woman's grip was too strong, and she felt herself being pulled back into the mirror. As she stared into the glass, Emily saw her reflection begin to change. Its eyes were turning black, and its skin was growing pale and clammy. And then, Emily realized that she was staring at the face of the dead. The woman's grip tightened, and Emily felt herself being pulled deeper into the mirror. She tried to scream, but her voice was silenced by some unseen force. As she stared into the glass, Emily saw her own death staring back at her. And she knew that she was trapped, forever doomed to roam the halls of Ravenswood Manor. The last thing Emily saw was the woman's face, her eyes black as coal. And then, everything went black. When Emily came to, she was lying on the floor of the library, the candles still burning around her. But something was different. The room seemed colder, the shadows deeper. And Emily knew that she was no longer alone. As she stumbled to her feet, Emily saw a figure standing before the mirror. It was the young woman, her eyes black as coal. But this time, Emily knew that she was not alone. The woman was standing beside her, their eyes locked in a silent understanding. And Emily knew that she was doomed, trapped forever in the halls of Ravenswood Manor.
