Emily's eyes slowly flickered open, and she found herself lying on the cold, hard floor of the foyer. Her head was throbbing with pain, and her mind was foggy with confusion.
As she struggled to sit up, Emily realized that the front door was still shut, and the house was silent and dark around her. She stumbled to her feet, desperate to find a way out.
But as she reached for the door handle, Emily felt a cold, clammy hand grasp her wrist. She spun around, but there was no one there.
The hand tightened its grip, pulling Emily back into the darkness of the house. She stumbled, desperate to break free, but the hand was too strong.
As she was dragged deeper into the house, Emily saw that the walls were closing in around her. The shadows seemed to be twisting and writhing, like living things.
And then, Emily heard the whispering voice again. It was louder now, more urgent.
"You'll never escape," it whispered. "You'll never leave."
Emily's heart was racing with fear as she was dragged deeper into the heart of the house. She knew she had to escape, but the shadows seemed to be closing in around her.
Suddenly, Emily saw a faint light in the distance. It was a doorway, slightly ajar. With a surge of hope, Emily struggled to break free from the grasp of the unseen hand.
She stumbled towards the doorway, desperate to escape. But as she reached the threshold, Emily felt a cold breeze whisper past her ear.
"You shouldn't have come here," it whispered.
And with that, the doorway slammed shut behind her, trapping Emily in the darkness of the house.
As she stumbled through the darkness, desperate to find a way out, Emily realized that she was completely alone. The house seemed to be shifting and changing around her, leading her deeper into its labyrinthine corridors.
And then, Emily stumbled upon a room that seemed frozen in time. The furniture was old and dusty, but it seemed to have been recently used.
In the center of the room, Emily saw a large, ornate mirror. It seemed to be reflecting an image that didn't belong to her.
As she approached the mirror, Emily saw that it was reflecting the image of a young woman. The woman was beautiful, with long, curly hair and a white dress that seemed to shimmer and shine.
But as Emily looked closer, she saw that the woman's eyes were black as coal. And they seemed to be staring straight into her soul.
Emily's heart was racing with fear as she stumbled backwards, desperate to escape the room. But as she turned to leave, she felt a cold, clammy hand grasp her shoulder.
And then, everything went black.
