Inside, blankets and pillows were spread all over the floor and the couches. Quinn was still asleep on the floor, close to the fireplace. The rest of the family was nowhere to be seen. The heat from the fire felt good. I slipped off the heavy coat and sat in front of the heat, watching Quinn sleep. Josh and Blaise came into the room. I stood and walked toward them so we wouldn’t wake Quinn.
