We spent the day cleaning and getting settled. I stayed with my friends and avoided Jonah. He must have been avoiding me just as carefully. I didn’t see him. They tolerated my presence, though when we were away from the others they told me I was being stupid and I needed to get over whatever was in my past. But they didn’t know what that past was and no matter how many times they asked, I would not tell them.
