Chapter Twenty

Tristan

“Damien go and get Mel quickly, bring her to my office and we will figure somewhere out for her to stay” I ordered, Damien just nodded and left the room, “Lucas go and take a shower and get some food” he just looked down “she won’ want me like this” he said sadly “Lucas she’s coming and we will work this out” my voice soft giving his shoulder a squeeze Lucas nodded at me I saw a smile twitch on his lips “thank you Alpha its means so much that you are on my side” he then turned to leave “Lucas, she’s coming” I smiled at him and I saw that defeated face lift into a smile as he left my office, I sighed to myself I had better tell Hazel what had gone on so that she could explain everything to Mel. I rushed to my bedroom where I had hoped that Hazel still was, I walked into my room and stopped instantly the overwhelming scent of Hazel hit me, I closed my eyes taking in the scent it sent tingles down my body and made my heart hammer in my chest, I opened my eyes and she was sitting on a chair singing to herself as she brushed her gorgeous long thick hair she was perfect I walked over to her and hugged her from behind “hey gorgeous” I breathed in her ear “hey” she giggled, she turned around to face me and I just took all of her in she was in a pretty flowing flowery dress that emphasised her perfect breasts, she had pulled her hair over one shoulder exposing her elegant neck, I wanted to rip that dress straight off of her it took all of my strength not to I couldn’t touch her I felt like I might explode if I did, I regained my composure “Hazel you look breath taking” I must have been grinning like a mad man, what luck had I landed to get such a perfect mate Hazel blushed she was still shy around me sometimes “busy morning?” she asked me changing the subject “yes, I have to tell you something aswel” I took her arm guiding her to sit on the sofa with me, she stopped and lightly sat on my lap I inhaled her scent it washed over my body making me feel calm and safe, but also gave me a raging erection that I didn’t want her to feel “what is it?” Hazel’s delicate voice brought me from my thoughts she had no idea what effect she had on me, I shifted in the seat “well it turns out your friend Mel is Lucas’s mate, he hasn’t wanted to tell her because he knows it's not allowed but he has gotten himself in abit of a state the mate bond is taking a toll on his body for not being with, he needs to either take Mel as his mate or reject her, so I’ve sent for Mel to come here she can be here for you but also get to know Lucas, if that is she wants to of course” keeping my voice low, Hazel just sat wide eyed in shock “she’s his mate” she whispered “yes” “oh wow, I don’t know how she will take it, I’ve known Mel for years and she’s not really the settling down type she had plans to travel to see the world when her wings came in, I don’t know if this will work” Hazel started biting her lip “if they are meant to be it will be, it is always that way just because they are mates doesn’t mean she is now bound to him", Hazel c****d her head and smiled at me “that’s beautiful you know, you think we are meant to be?” she fluttered her eyelashes at me “of course I do, I’m not sure I can spend another night without you in my bed” my voice was full of lust that I was feeling for her I ran my hand lightly up her back she smiled at me that beautiful shy smile “me either” she told me “oh Hazel you have no idea how much that means to me” I grinned picking her up in my arms and kissing her she returned my kiss with as much passion as I was giving her I pulled away and set her down on the sofa I leant my head against hers “oh my little faery you are making my heart feel whole” I whispered “and mine my Alpha prince” she put her hands either side of my face and kissed me lightly Damien then mind linked me breaking our moment “Mel’s here” I announced “is she!” Hazel exclaimed excited to see her friend “yes I will go and get her and bring her here to you so you can explain everything to her, she will probably be shocked and you have been through the same thing so you can help her come to terms with everything” “ok Tristan” Hazel let go of my arms “could you possibly bring some tea up for us?” she looked awkward “of course I will sort it” she wasn’t comfortable with the whole being the person to order things, I gave her a swift kiss before leaving the room to go and get Mel I hoped that Mel did take it all well and want to be Lucas' mate as Lucas was not doing well without her.

Hazel

I sat in Tristan’ room waiting for Mel I was biting my nails something I always did when I was nervous I so badly wanted Mel to want Lucas but I just wasn’t sure, from what she had said to me she hadn’t really thought much of a bond between her and Lucas so I didn’t have high hopes in her knowing that they were mates, I knew she was going to be shocked but I just wasn’t sure which way it was going to go but from the look on Tristan's face when he spoke about Lucas I knew he wasn’t good so I needed to make sure that Mel took it as well as she could, there was a knock at the door and a Wolf came in with a tea set “where would you like it?” he asked brightly I was surprised at how polite and chirpy he was most of the males around here where surely and brooding it was refreshing to see such a kind face “oh please I'll sort it out” I stood up to take the set from him “no problem dal I'll pop it on here for you anything else I can grab for you?” he asked smiling “no thank you so much” “no problem" he smile before leaving the room what a nice guy I thought going to make myself a cup of tea, then Tristan entered the room Mel behind him looking bewildered until she saw me “Hazel!” she squealed Tristan stood to the side as we hugged each other “I'll leave you girls to it” Tristan eyes looked at me softly before leaving the room and closing the door behind him “Hazel what is going on!” Mel questioned me as soon as the door was closed “well Mel I have something to tell you, but first would you like some tea?” I asked her sweetly “tea what just tell me what's going on I was minding my own business walking to the café then some massive meat head comes barging up to me telling me I need to come the pack house then he gets me in a car and brings me here, then your hunky man meets me outside and says he's taking me to you!” Mel exclaimed “I know they don’t really know how to handle themselves" I chuckled “HAZEL” Mel shouted “ok ok I'll tell you, well you know Lucas?” I asked her “obviously” she replied rolling her eyes “well you know how you said he really liked you then he seemed distant and all the rest of it, well it turns out that” I took a deep breath “he is your mate” Mel just looked at me wide eyed “shut up” she threw her hands up in the air “no Mel I mean it he's your mate, and he's in a state because he didn’t want to tell you encase you freaked out and your families wouldn’t let you be together” Mel just sat on the sofa staring at me in complete shock “I mean I did feel a bit of a pull towards him and I was gutted when he wasn’t messaging me and asking to see me anymore you even said the other day he could be so I don’t know why I'm so shocked but hearing it is something else” Mel shook her head “it will be ok Mel, Tristan is amazing and he will sort everything out, as long as you want to be with Lucas” I tried to sooth her making sure she knew she had choices Mel just sat looking at her hands “I mean I like him but I don't probably feel the same as him and I'm going to need to get to know him better before I share a room or anything with him but yeah, I would like to see him” Mel said with a shy smile "yay, I'll get Tristan to bring him here for you" giving my best friend a tight hug “it's so good to see you” I told her “and you" Mel hugged me back we let go of each other and I quickly text Tristan telling him to bring Lucas to our room not long afterwards there was a knock on the door “come in” I shouted Mel sat up straight looking a little nervous as Tristan walked in the room a large grin on his handsome face he came into the room and Lucas was close behind him he stood by the doorway looking down he looked so sad Mel stood up looking at him closely then she went to him and they embraced you could see the life return to Lucas as he inhaled her scent Mel then stood back looking at Lucas “why didn’t you tell me” she asked him "I was worried that you wouldn't want me" Lucas had an edge to his voice "oh you are so silly why wouldn’t I want you!” Mel exclaimed and they hugged again Lucas’s face lit up at Mel's words and her embrace were exactly what he needed, they realised each other and came over to sit with me on the sofa Lucas was already like a different person just from being in Mel's presence it was beautiful to see I smiled at Tristan and he came to me, “shall we give them some space you can help me set up Mel's room she will be down the hall from us” he smiled “yes that would be good" I gushed looking at the love birds who were lost to everyone but each other at this moment “we will go and set up your room Mel” I told them not that they noticed, we left the room together as we closed the door Tristan grabbed me and hugged me tight “oh my little faery you are amazing” he held me close I smiled up at him “so are you bringing those two together they deserve happiness” "yes they do" Tristan's eyes were on mine, we walked hand in hand to the room that Tristan had mentioned and we got fresh sheets for the bed and some toiletries for the bathroom, when we were done we went back to our room to see how Lucas and Mel where getting on we knocked before going in just incase and they said to come in Lucas was back to his old self with his cheeky grin and laughter filled the room between the two of them it seemed like they were getting along just fine “you two coming down for some lunch" Tristan asked them "yeah sure" Lucas said standing up and holding a hand out for Mel to take which she did gladly and we all made our way downstairs to the dining hall, it was lunch time so it was busy in there the room fell silent as me, Tristan, Mel and Lucas walked in a lot of people had already seen me and Tristan together but his pack was huge so a lot still hadn’t, we made our way over to an empty table me and Mel took a seat while the boys went to go and get some food everyone was staring and whispering about us while we sat alone “Hazel I don’t like this” Mel said looking round warily “I know me either I don’t know what people think about us, but I had a bit of an issue last night with one of the she wolves” I whispered to Mel "why what happened!?” Mel asked me leaning closer so I told her about what had happened with Ruby and Tristan Mel was shocked “and you stayed anyway?” she asked me "well Tristan will have a past I get that he's been Alpha here for a few years and been single of course he's going to have been with other girls but he's assured me that now it's just me and him, the mate bond does things to them that we don’t understand but after we had s*x last night I can feel it more” I told Mel with a shy smile “oh you have it bad” Mel said laughing at me "I know I really like him Mel like really like him, I kind of wish he wasn’t alpha but I wouldn’t change him for the world so I'll stick by him whatever" I said gazing over at my hunk of a wolf for a mate he was gorgeous, i looked at Mel and caught her gazing over at Lucas she was feeling the bond too I was sure of it, the guys came back over with food and we all ate and chatted and it was amazing Mel and Lucas got on so well and me and Tristan where better than ever especially after last night my face flushed at the memory “and what are you thinking about my little fairy” Tristan asked me smiling “oh just last night" i said eyeing him he grinned "well we could always make those thoughts a reality” he whispered huskily in my ear sending shivers down my body me eyed me closely and then stood up holding out his hand for me to take I took it gladly my insides burning excitement brewing down in stomach “we have something to do right now guys but enjoy yourselves and you know where your room is Mel” Tristan said all business like Mel giggled looking at me “have fun” she called as Tristan marched me out of the room upstairs and into his bedroom, he closed and locked the door behind him and turned to look at me his eyes dark with lust he slowly walked up to me placing his hands on my hips “what are you doing to me my little fairy” he said huskily “what are you doing to me” I breathed nearly panting already and he hadn’t even done anything to me yet "I'll do things to you, you didn't even know where possible" his voice low and seductive capturing my lips in a passionate kiss then he made love to me, I was falling hard for him falling really hard.
