The Alpha’s Faery

Chapter Nine

Hazel

I stood rooted to the spot my heart in my mouth soon as I heard the distinctive buzzing sound I knew a faery was close but because Tristan was so massive I didn’t see who it was until it was too late when he shifted to full form I just closed my eyes in anticipation of the massive telling off I was going to get, it was my father and the queen, oh s**t.

My father just stood with the most thunderous look glaring at me nostrils flared, I just kept looking down and my feet, “Alpha what was that about?” the queen demanded at Tristan she looked furious “I’m not sure your majesty but I have the rogues they are being taken back to the pack house as we speak and will interrogate them, I will get to the bottom of this" Tristan was all Alpha he was incredibly sexy, the queen turned to me I abruptly stopped admiring Tristan, “Hazel what are you doing?" she asked me I was caught here I didn’t know what to say then Tristan came to my rescue “I thought she got hurt so I was just checking she was ok, you may go Hazel" he winked at me I shuffled away from the three of them and ran to find Mel that was so awkward I smiled at the thought of Tristan coming to my rescue twice tonight and my heart soared I stopped and lent against a near by tree I looked up at the thick branches he’s my mate I smiled to myself wrapping my arms around me feeling so secure, then I frowned but Tristan was the Alpha I could never be Luna of a wolf pack no one would except it no one, I sighed as I trudged along to where the medics worked to find Mel.

Mel was sitting on the edge of a bed while someone cleaned her wounds they then made a paste and put it on her cuts by the morning they would be gone, I just sat and watched them work until they said that Mel could leave, we then left together as we walked towards my house someone came running up behind us we turned around to see Austin “haven’t you girls heard we are on lockdown no one out after dusk until they find out why the rogues came" he panted breathlessly, I groaned and so did Mel "you ok Mel" Austin asked her looking over her concerned “yeah just a few cuts, where did you disappear to earlier anyway?" Mel asked him "oh my mother called and you where talking to that girl so I just left" Austin told her looking a little awkward “wish I hadn’t now though I would of blasted those rogues away from you" he shook his head "its not your fault Austin you didn’t know" I tried to reassure him rubbing his arm he still seemed to be bothered about the rogue attack though, “right best get in then” he turned around and heading home “bye" me and Mel had both called “time to face the music” I told Mel I had told her about what had happened with my dad and the queen Mel gave me a sympathetic look “good luck” and she headed off home aswel.

I walked into my house it was too quiet I tried to quickly bolt upstairs before I saw anyone but I got to the second step on the stairs and my father called me from the kitchen here goes I thought to myself, I went into the kitchen and my mother and father where sat at the table I smiled at them as I walked in trying to act cool "sit down Hazel" my father told me, I slumped down on a chair opposite them, “tell me now what is going on” he demanded my mother was just staring at me she didn’t seem angry yet, "well ill tell you the truth but you have to promise not to go mad" I grimaced this wasn’t going to end well, my parents just kept staring at me I took a deep breath “ok so Tristan is the guy I met at the dance the other night, turns out I am his mate" I gritted my teeth together, my mother started crying and my father shook his hand he stood up abruptly from his chair “I’m sorry, I didn’t ask for this to happen and neither did he, but we want to be together” my voice full of determination my mother just started crying harder and my father just looked like he wanted to punch something, I sat and let them process what I had just told them “Hazel you can’t be with him not only is he a wolf he is the Alpha!” my father exclaimed anger in his voice “why cant I be with him, we where chosen by the spirits to be mates who is to question them? I want to be with him and he wants to be with me" raising my voice slightly “sometimes the spirits are wrong” he shouted "how do you know, you cant speak to them, you just do and say what you want to say" I was rising my voice more now, "you cant be with him Hazel end of discussion you are not to see him again other than for him to reject you and that is my decision he may be Alpha but I am your father and elder of the glade now go to your room” my father screamed at me my mother looked up at him and turned to me a sympathetic look on her face something told me she wasn’t as angry about the situation as I thought she would be I turned to go upstairs leaving my parents together I wasn’t not seeing Tristan again we where going to be together whatever it takes, I will text him and see what he has to say, “my parents know, my father has forbidden me from seeing you odiously that’s not going to happen though hope you are ok xx" I sent it and slumped on my bed what a day.
