The Alpha’s Faery

Chapter Two

Tristan

Another one of my mothers parties to try and get me to find my mate, I literally didn’t care if I ever found my mate or not, I wasn’t like these others all going googly eyed over women, I was happy running my pack and being alone I didn’t need a woman to distract me and try and have an input on my pack no thank you I was doing well on my own after we had to over throw my father he was losing it a bit anyway but when he went on that rampage killing wolves and some of the fairies who we had sworn to protect I couldn’t let it go on much longer and I had to take over as Alpha straight away, and everyone said that I had taken to it well, so no I wasn’t desperate to find my mate and change everything, I had a few she wolfs who helped me blow off steam when I needed too and I was content with that, it was my mother who told me that I would never be as strong and powerful without this mate I am destined to find.

I made my way into the large pack hall that my mother had decorated and had loud music blasting from the DJ on stage she had food and drinks set out and apparently it was the best party ever as people kept shouting at me as I made my way over to the bar “evening Alpha” my friend Lucas came up to me “Lucas I said looking about the room bored as anything “I see my mothers gotten desperate, inviting all manor of creatures to the party” I said "yes it is extremely busy tonight and more coming” Lucas told me he had a glint in his eye he liked a bit of faery every now and again I laughed at him “go on see what you can pull" I told him sniggering as he ran straight over to two girls with wings the size of doors, faeries only got their wings when their bodies thought they where ready for their full powers so it could come any time or not at all but they always stayed looking young they didn’t seem to age at all until they where in their late 60s so telling how old one was nearly impossible you had to watch how they acted the girls Lucas had just gone up to where all giggly and giddy id say they where young maybe early 20s so they had got their powers a lot earlier than most, but where still very childish yep defiantly not for me I sighed as I watched my mother come over to me “come on son mingle! Get to know people get to know all these beautiful fairies that live within our lands!” she said grabbing me by the hand and dragging me over to a group of she wolves I groaned inwardly to myself "why couldn’t she just leave me be! The she wolves were all over me fluttering their lashes and giggling and being generally girly, they where none my mates I obviously hadn’t felt the pull you feel towards your mate but apparently it is incredibly strong but all I wanted to do was get away from these girls, I finally managed to get away saying I needed the restroom I went into the toilets and sighed heavily I only wanted to find my mate to get my mother off my case, I washed up and made my way out of the toilets when a beautiful smell hit my nose it smelt of the fresh forest trees on a summers day I closed my eyes and inhaled the scent deeply then it seemed to disappear what was that about? I shook my head and headed back over to the bar I only needed my mother to see me around a couple more times before I could sneak off for the night, I was stood at the bar leaning on the edge when Ruby came over “so Alpha, enjoying your night?” she looked at me through her lashes I often slept with Ruby when my need was greatest, I just grunted at her it was nothing more than s*x between us she was pretty enough but that was all "fancy a dance?" she asked me a salutary look on her face I knew that look but I couldn’t shake that smell of the forest off me even just remembering the smell made my heart flutter I shook my head what was going on with me “no sorry im going out back I need to speak to Damian she looked hurt but she knew how it was with me I told her not to get attached, I stomped round to one of the back rooms and ran my hands through my hair I felt so weird tonight I even just turned down a booty call ah there was always others, I walked round trying to find Damian suddenly the smell of the forest hit me again I closed my eyes and sniffed the air it was magical it seemed to be soothing me and I didn’t even know where it was coming from. I found Damian with Lucas I walked over and noticed that they were talking to the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my entire life even my wolf pricked up his eyes at the sight of her “Tristan she’s our mate” Cole said in my head "what no she cant be I’m pretty sure she’s a fairy, she cant be can she? But the smell of the forest filled my nostril and I struggled to keep calm as I walked over to them, I had to speak to her I had never felt this way before she was tiny with long curly brunette hair, she was smiling oh that smile was melting my heart but then I realised she wasn’t smiling at me she was smiling at Lucas I felt jealousy and anger suddenly rise in my chest I didn’t want Lucas to be flirting with her but as I watched I saw Lucas talking with the girl sat next to her and I calmed they where just talking I shook my head annoyed with myself for getting so angry so fast but I couldn’t help it just the sight of this girl was sending me mad I needed to meet her I walked up to the table they were at Damien nodded at me “ah Tristan there you are I would like you to meet Mel and Hazel girls this is Tristan” he said smiling his eyes where on the girl called Mel I couldn’t take my eyes off Hazel, what a beautiful name, “Damien I think Polly was looking for you, you better go and find her” I told Damien “yes Alpha" and he walked away leaving me just staring at Hazel I smiled at her and she looked up at me slightly nervous I was really tall, "excuse me Hazel but may I escort you outside" I said holding out my arm for her to take, " Lucas and Mel watched me and the beautiful Hazel stunned not saying a word as I lead the gorgeous creature now on my arm outside where is was quieter and I could speak to her properly we sat down on some stones facing a large open field that I used to train pack members I turned to the Hazel just taking in her breath taking beauty she looked at me a little shyly "ermm hi" she said he voice was the sweetest voice I had ever heard I could listen to it all day I suddenly realised that I was just staring at her I felt all nervous and awkward just sitting next to her “hi” I replied taking her hand to kiss it then my heart stopped at the sound of her giggling oh my I need to hear that sound everyday "I have never seen you around before, where do you come from?” I asked her needing to know everything about her “I'm from the glade at the edge of the pack the midnight fairies” she said blushing she knew I was a wolf and not a fairy “I very rarely go there I’m afraid to say” I said just watching this beautiful girl “I don’t often come here, its rare we get invited here or my family allow it but seen as the mother of the Alpha was quite insistent my mother let me come" hazel told me “oh I’m glad she did" I said moving slightly closer to her, her eyes widened as I did and I realised I was pushing it we barely knew each other and she wouldn’t feel the mate bond like I did she might feel something I wasn’t too sure there wasn’t many mating between wolves and fairies they often where made to reject each other most of our kind where against such pairings, but right now I cared about nothing more than getting to know Hazel better and making her fall in love with me, it would be harder than a normal mate but I didn’t care all I cared about was her and being the reason she made that sweet sound again
