Chapter Fourteen

The next day I was working in my office, I managed to speak to everyone that I needed to get my plans in motion now I just needed to wait for results this wasn’t going to be a quick mission, the next thing I needed to do was to get Hazel into the pack house with me before anything else happened I needed her and the village to be safe. I was just about to leave to meet Hazel when my mother came up to me "darling I think you should bring Hazel back to the pack house let people see you together get used to the idea they might be less phased by it when she comes to live here” she smiled “ok mother I will try to bring her back here will you set up a dinner for us, you may join us if you like she has met you before” my mother grinned "I would be delighted I will get it all sorted bring her back for 6.30pm and everything will be ready.” She rushed off to the kitchens I smiled as I watched her go she’s been so desperate for me to find my mate for such a long time, now I have finally found her she didn’t seem to be fazed that my mate happened to be a fairy.

I was waiting at mine and Hazels usual meeting point excited to see her butterflies in my stomach, she bounced round the corner into my arms I took her and swung her around planting a kiss on her lips, “hey" she said breathlessly "hey" I replied back her eyes where shining "if you are willing I would like to take you to the pack house my mother is desperate to see you and has planned a dinner” Hazel looked worried "what's the matter baby?" I asked softly "I'm just worried about what the other pack members will think” she looked concerned "they will love you" I told her lifting her face to look at me "ok" she closed her eyes I couldn’t help the huge grin from forming on my face "you will be fine baby” I hugged her “ok lets go!" I took her hand in mine as we walked to my car I opened her door for her she elegantly hoping inside and we set off to the pack house the whole way Hazel was quiet just looking out the window I grabbed her leg and squeezed it reassuringly "we don’t have to go" I told her softly knowing how worried she was "no I want to, your mum was lovely at the party I don’t want to upset her, no I’m ready” she said a determined look on her face as we pulled up to the front of the pack house, I went round and opened her door for her as she slid out of her seat, we walked hand in hand through the front doors other wolves where looking at us some looked shocked some looked happy for me smiles where the majority as I lead Hazel through to the dinning room there were just a few stragglers from dinner left most of the pack ate around 6pm they all turned to look at me and Hazel when we entered “there you are!" my mother beamed at us as we reached an empty table “I’ve set up a table over in the corner for us” she pointed to a table with glasses and cutlery set out we walked over to the table the other wolves whispering as we did "something to say Ruby” I barked to one of the she wolves in the small group sat at the tables still “no Alpha just wondered who your friend was all" Ruby said with a smirk Hazel was looking awkward “this is Hazel” I announced smiling down at Hazel "ok Alpha nice to meet you Hazel" Ruby had a forced smile plastered on her face, Hazel smiled back “hi" she said shyly she would need to get more confident but I’m sure she would over time Ruby was just annoyed because I wouldn’t sleep with her anymore, me and Hazel sat down at the table my mother had set up, my mother came over with the food “here we go guys I made hunters chicken I hope you like it” she said smiling "it looks delicious” Hazel was polite and respectful towards my mother my heart was soaring, “my name is Josie dear” my mother told Hazel with a smile “so tell me about life in the fairy village” my mother asked Hazel, when Hazel talked about the village she lit up she loved the village and had lived their all of her life she went to the school and knew everyone and everyone knew and loved her, my mother and Hazel were getting along great and I was beaming with pride. As we where just finishing our food Damien entered the dinning room “Alpha I’m really sorry to disturb you but I need to quickly speak to you about something” he stood tall and official I knew it was something important or he never would have interrupted our dinner “go on dear me and Hazel will be fine ill show her the gardens while we wait for dessert, cook has made a beautiful cake” she ushered me away beaming "ok I wont be long” I looked at Hazel she seemed a lot more relaxed now I left them to it and went out into an empty room with Damien “Alpha I just wanted to let you know that the she wolf I sent to the half-moon pack has been granted entry she is safe in the main pack house they are treating her well with the very little they have” Damien told me "that’s great Damien and moonlight?" I asked "I haven’t heard back from Jazz yet, I hope she’s alright" he said looking into the distance “ok I'm sure she is fine they will match for my powerful Cole I didn’t want this one dead I wanted to question him so I just wounded him tearing a gaping wound in his shoulder he gave up slumped on the ground at my feet, I stood a moment catching my breath I looked around at the dead bodies such a waste of life I didn’t like killing but there was no other way with these rogues I needed to make sure that my Hazel was safe, I linked Damien to get the remain living rogues and take them to the cells I want to question them make sure they are from the white witch and not someone else we all shifted back and took the rogues back to the pack house once back in human form the bite that the rogue had given me seared with pain I cried out grabbing my arm it was bleeding I roared in anger, Damien came rushing over to me “Alpha go to the pack doctor, I need to take three other of our warriors those rogues where tough” he said sounding concerned “yes I’ll take one with me" I told Damien shifting back into Cole and lifting one of the wounded on my back and ran heading back to the pack house.
