Detective Sarah Morgan stood in front of the whiteboard covered in photographs, strings of red yarn connecting faces and locations in a chaotic web. The room was dimly lit, a reflection of the darkness that had settled over the city. The Chameleon had eluded her for far too long. Sarah's determination burned brighter than ever. The key, they believed, lay in the past an incident that held the twisted roots of The Chameleon's obsession. The case files from that night were sealed, but Sarah had her ways. She revisited the scene of the incident, a decrepit warehouse on the edge of the city. It was there she had lost a partner years ago, an event that still haunted her. Her partner's murder was marked as a cold case, but Sarah knew there was more to it. As she walked through the dimly lit corridors of the abandoned warehouse, memories flooded back. The echoes of gunshots, the sensation of being watched Sarah couldn't shake the feeling that The Chameleon had been present that night.
