Kael stumbled backward as the world around him seemed to fracture. The storm outside raged, but inside the forge, everything had gone eerily silent. His breath caught in his throat as the air grew thick with an unnatural heaviness. It should never have been allowed to fall into your hands.” Kael’s heart raced. "The Veil? What do you mean?" The figure’s eyes seemed to soften, and it took a step closer. “The Veil is the barrier that separates all realms. It is weakening, and the fragments—like the one you hold—are key to its restoration. But they also carry great danger. You must choose your path carefully, Kael. The storm you felt is only the beginning.” Kael clenched the shard tightly, the weight of the figure’s words sinking in. His life had just changed forever, and there was no going back. ---
