CHAPTER TWENTY Bait crashed through the back door of Phil’s house and bounced along the backyard until he crashed into a tree hard enough to make leaves fall on him. He lay there for a second, dazed by the impact of crashing into a tree, before shaking his head and sitting up. He winced at the pain in his head and noticed that his long-sleeved shirt was ripped in several places, but otherwise he seemed okay.
