Chapter 39 I think I slept for several hours, but the sun had not yet risen by the time I woke up and stumbled over to the professor’s bathroom to throw up again. It took me at least twenty minutes to make my way back to his couch, but he was waiting for me with a bowl of tomato soup when I got there. The dog looked up at me as I settled in, and growled quietly. “Here, Gavin, take this,” said Andrew. “Be quiet, Mercury! He’s still not tender enough.” “I’ll only throw it up,” I said. “No you won’t.
