The Moon Goddess Tales: Planning to Flee

Sages PoV: 

I am preparing myself to flee from the pack I am currently in. I am 18 in just a few short days and the blue moon event is barely a week beyond that. I have decided to wait until after the blue moon ceremony to ensure that my mate is not here and that I will not be running away from him. I just can't see being paired up with any member of this pack. I am an Omega of the Coldmoon Pack. So I get the fact that I am on the lower end of the Moon Goddess's list. So I may not even have a mate out there and thats ok too. I am seeking a better life than what I have here. I may be an Omega in the eyes of this pack but inside me I know that I have more to offer that what this pack will ever allow me to be. 

I dont have any family here in the pack. I have tried to find other wolves here to make friends with and thats a no go. These wolves are extremely mean and extremely stupid. They walk around most of the time flexing their muscles at each other and making empty threats of whipping each others wolves. The sad part is, I being an Omega could probably take most of them. I think thats why I am so unhappy here. This pack is in a sad state all the way around.

Besides, my closest friend Kali Grace. Now she gives off a mean face with a mean aura to fit the look. She is a fellow Omega in our pack. We both share dreams of escaping from this pack and finding happiness even if we never find a mate. We both agree that our time here is coming to an end. 

She has just turned eighteen also. I know that she is leery as the Alpha keeps eyeing her like a forbidden treat that he is just dying to have. He is like really old. Probably around my parents age, I imagine, had I had any. He does not have a Luna. The rumor is that he rejected his mate, the future Luna of the pack, that the Moon Goddess gifted him and in turn the Moon Goddess ensured that he would never find a mate. Even at his age he exhibits a strength that scares any of the other pack members from challenging him for Alpha status. The Alpha seems to be getting antsy about giving up on the Moon Goddess to forgive his transgression and picking a mate of his choice. The rumors are that he is going to pick one out of the unmated she wolfs after this blue moon ceremony. Kali seems to think that he is eyeing her as his Luna and she is hell bent and determined that it shall not come to pass. As an Omega she has watched his cruelty towards the rest of the pack. 

She and I are extremely different. I am kinda on the short side around 5 foot four. That is short for a werewolf. I love my hair tho. Its long, jet black with silver streaked high lights. Different from anyone here in the pack. I have dark skin complexion. Kali gets mad as I never have to try for a tan. Personally I think tanning is a waste of time. I would rather be hiding reading my favorite book and dreaming of being away from here. Now, Kali, she is tall, I am guessing around six foot tall, slender with long dishwater blonde hair. She is fit. She forces me to exercise and stay fit knowing if we run into trouble when we decide to leave that we are going to need to be able to run like the wind. 

Our wolves have began stirring but we have not met them yet. We being Omegas are not expecting our wolves to be super strong like an Alpha, Beta, or a Gamma so we will need speed and a good plan to give us time to get ahead of them in case they decide to pursue us.. We will have to denounce our pack as we cross the border to set our wolves free of the wolfs bond with the pack or else our wolves will remain weaker. The strength of a pack is built thru the strength in numbers. The stronger the members in a pack the stronger the Alpha. The more wolves in a pack the stronger the wolves of that pack. The further away from the pack the weaker a wolf will become, even once the bond is broken. A lone wolf is no match for a pack, even if the fight is one on one.

I have heard alot of bad things about this Alpha. I can't see Kali or myself remaining safe here once the blue moon ceremony takes place. Until then I will suck it up and train along side Kali. I am extremely excited to meet my wolf. I can feel all my wolf senses making my body burn inside wanting out. I am counting the days. I keep trying to imagine what my wolf will be like. "Magnificent , I will be all that and more!" came a snicker from within.
