Sengerys Pov:
These stupid werewolves. I shouldn't think that. I should be thinking that stupid ass Alpha. I know that he is trying to prove a point by sticking us here and making us wait. I hope he makes us wait a little longer.
Salina is sitting is a trance state in the corner watching the television. OK, so to anyone walking by they would be seeing a tired old lady resting watching an old chick flick called Pretty Woman. To add to the effect she even pulled up an ottoman and threw a lap blanket over her legs. Holding a pillow at her chest to rest her weary arms.
At least they put us in a room that was comfortable while being secluded. This Alpha has alot to learn about witch's to know that a "learned witch" was a "learned witch" for a reason!
All of these werewolves feel tense.
I shook the hand of the wee lass that had the pup. She was a happy pup herself. Strange that she, having a dormant werewolf would choose a true pup as a genuine pet. Anyone could tell that the pup was one happy woofer.
I brushed against a few were wolfs in the stairways. The contacts were light and fast. In my observation none, and I mean none of these were wolves passed of any vibes of being around a witch. Not even a hybrid. These mixed breads would have no reason to hide. Touching the walls and the railings. Easily done with the smaller stairwell we were walking. I know this is the path their lowers or servants would take to make haste from one section of the pack house to the other. Good to know.
I shook the hand of the Omega Jerome that brought us here. His soul glowed a mild yellow color. He is a peaceful yet strong man. His aura says he is truthful and loyal. His eyes was watchful of all of his fellow werewolves as we passed them coming to our assigned quarters. His skin showed a man that had seen battle but not for many moons. His heart rhythm beats played the tune of a man between the stages of contentment and disgust. From what I could feel the contentment was here with his pack, the disgust felt belonged where ever his mind had wandered off too. A man such as he with many seasons behind him and many lessons learned, is a good protector of all no matter if he is in his human for or his werewolf form. This werewolf bares watching if we want to learn the truth.
"Remstone love we are safe." I mindlinked my mate, waited and nothing. I knew there wouldn't be. Still I felt the disappointment. One can always hope to feel a peace of the heart that keeps you whole.
Salinas pov:
This place. There is something about this place that is telling me that we are meant to be here.
I feel the shadows watching as we pass. The shadows don't know that I am just as curious about them as they are about me.
I haven't come across anything that gives me a clue to figuring out the mystery of the girl. It's still very early in the game. This Alpha thinks that he is a bother to us in this moment. I am suppose to be in fear of the mighty Alpha. In truth I don't trust him. I haven't met him yet and I am gathering my strength for when I do. If his mean streak is as strong as I believe it is by the reflection of his people then I am going to need all of my senses ready if I am going to read him with out his knowledge.
Werewolves and people have long thought we witch's have always had to cast a spell on someone to gain knowledge from them. It's simply not true. The person just has to be unaware that the contact we are making is for the purpose of a seeking so they leave their mind open. It doesn't have to be long. Just long enough for the seeker to jump in get the knowledge they are after and jump out again. We cant alter any fragments in time while we are in. We can't erase or block a memory while a seeking is taking place. Not all witch's have a seekers ability.
Sengery and I both are seekers, among other things in the witch's world.
My senses tell me that she is near. My Grand daughter is near. Yet that makes not a damn bit of sense. Sengery and I were just comparing notes and all of it came of the same. The only difference is I got to meet the Alphas door greeter as Omega Jerome called her. I was not on top of my game. I had tried to trip and catch the wall to see if the greeter would feel for a tired old woman and grab hold of my arm at least to keep me from falling. The greeter never flinched. No, it was Jerome that jumped fast. He hunted around the ground for a possible reason to blame. Finding none as he steadied me. I read more than I am sure he wanted me to see. Not only was he trying to gallantly assist me he was trying to protect the greeter from being touched as well.
"I am not as graceful of foot as I use to be I said and winked at him."
Too make him feel more at ease I apologized which I rarely do.
I reminded him alot of miles with old knees were not always the best combination. I was fine as I was more that sure I simply turned quicker than I should have and lost balance. He was still holding my arm as he guided me where he wanted us to go. I could feel several conversations start jumping thru him at once.
His eyes glazed over briefly indicating he was talking to someone via mindlink.
Leaving us in our room, he indicated to us to rest as he would be busy an unsure just how long the Alpha would be, and that food would be coming shortly as we were still guest of a sort until the Alpha determined otherwise.
