twenty-one It was Friday morning and Elizabeth had been waiting at the end of the drive for over half an hour. Harry and Josh had both left for work and the street was full of parents taking their children to school. Always punctual, Elizabeth was growing annoyed by Melody’s late arrival. The text message she had received last night had specifically stated she would pick her up at eight o’clock. Elizabeth decided to give her friend another fifteen minutes. If she still hadn’t arrived, then she would catch the tube to the East End and make her own way to the photographer’s studio.
