In a short space of time, Elizabeth had made-up all five lads. Carolyn insisted they only needed a swipe of foundation and highlighter just to stop them looking so pale under the unforgiving studio lights. Eduardo grumbled more than the others, he was worried that he’d end up looking like Adam Ant. Elizabeth passed him her compact mirror, surprised that he’d even heard of the Eighties icon. The hairdresser went round with gel and straighteners, styling their hair into messy perfection.
