Chapter 3: Meet and Greet

Hazel:

As I sat back down at the table Dani looked at me suspiciously. "Will you be sneaking off to sample the bartender in a bit?" she asks with a sly grin. "Shut up." I say, laughing. "Actually.. funny story. I am no longer interested, and my wolf is confused because she just professed that a strikingly beautiful lady is our mate." "WOAH WOAH WOAH. Back the bus up!" Dani said in her overly dramatic fashion. "More! Explain!" "There is no more," I shrug. "We met eyes with a stunning woman and my wolf tried to tell me she is our mate.. but THEENNNN the girl basically ran from me. So, my wolf is CLEARLY confused." I finish and then take a swallow of the beer, feeling it bubble in my mouth.

"BessFrenn," Dani starts, "you have never ever been interested in anything with a p***s. Why should your wolf feel any differently? Do you not remember that story I read you that time about the early wolf packs and same s*x pairings? Legend has it that the gods rarely choose two females as mates, but when they do it is a great honor and the pairing is meant for greatness." I roll my eyes at her "the important word there being legend. Not to change the subject, but do you smell baked apples and cinnamon, or am I about to have a stroke?" "I do not smell that at all.. but does this mystery girl have curly brown hair?" "Yes, with perfect ringlets to wrap around your fingers, why? "Um, oddly quick and specific but okay.. and because she has been staring since right before you asked about apples and now she's headed this way."

As she approached, the smell of baked apples grew stronger, and that's when I knew it had to be her. If she truly was my mate, then it would explain why no one else seemed to notice the scent. "Hi," I smiled looking up at her "would you like to sit?" as soon as she got within 3 feet of me I could feel goose bumps all over my arms. All I could think about was placing my lips on the spot where a loose curl fell by her ear. I shook my head as if shaking off a daze just in time to hear her response, "actually, I was wondering if you would like to take a walk with me." She turned to Dani, "My name is Sammy and I am the daughter of the Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack. I promise to return her safely and in one piece." At this I chuckled out loud, taking in her delicate features. "As if she could cause me any harm," I thought. "I would love to. I am Hazel, and this is my best friend, Dani. Dani, I will be right back." Dani gave me a knowing wink and Sammy and I started walking along the river bank.

Sammy:

I am not sure If I was more relieved or terrified when Hazel agreed to take a walk with me. Being close to her like this and alone, I know for sure now that the scent of blueberries is her. It is her scent that makes my mouth water. We walked along the river bank, a solid 5 feet apart, making small talk. "So you are Alpha Theodore's Daughter?" I ask and she responds. She tells me all about how her brother will become the new alpha tomorrow. I am trying so hard to listen to her, but she talks with her hands and her hands are beautiful. I can't stop looking at them and thinking about how they would feel holding mine, caressing my arm, teasing my n*****s, sliding between my- I'm snapped back to reality as she says "Sammy, I think I know what this is about. I know somewhere private we can talk if you would like." "I think that sounds perfect."

Hazel:

Sammy and I have been walking for a bit now. I have been very careful to keep space between us so I can keep my s**t together, but as we come up to one of my favorite thinking spots, I know it is the perfect place to talk. "Hey, Sammy. I think I know what this is about. I know somewhere private we can talk, if you trust me." I say to her, and for whatever reason she does. We slip inside the small cave by the bank of the river. It is dark, but I turn on the battery-powered lamp I keep just inside. Inside this small space alone together her scent is overwhelming. I feel myself blush and begin to breathe faster as my wolf spins in circles and dances, whispering "Mate Mate, Mine Mine!". I slowly put my hand on Sammy's hip and push her against the wall of the cave. I put my forehead against hers and as soon as our skin touches it is like a fire has been ignited. I bury my hand in the curls at the nape of her neck and press my plump lips against hers. Instantly I feel the heat in her core rise and smell the dampness of her arousal. She parts her lips as her breath catches and I flick my tongue across hers. She tastes exactly the way she smells and I want more. Sammy:

I fully intended to just talk. I swear to god. But as soon as we were close and made eye contact my wolf went CRAZY. When Hazel pushed me against the wall, I could have melted then and there. I like a woman who takes charge.

Hazel:
