How The Butterflies Killed the Moon

In The Beginning

The moon was a beautiful sight. It brought out a pale light that chilled the air, and a sweet aroma would bounce off of the flowers. The night sky would light up with billions of stars and planets and galaxies. Breathing in would feel like silk filling your lungs, and you would sigh a small cloud of fog. The moon was something that everybody admired deeply.

One night, the moon disappeared. The flowers no longer danced, the stars no longer glimmered, and the air was simply humid. Without the moon, humanity would crumble. So, to ensure that nobody forgets their place, the Butterflies held up the community and declared that they would find a cure for humanities withdrawal from this asset of life.

Soon after their claim, children with unique eyes were born. Each colour had a different meaning and those who were born with these exquisite eyes would be of a higher class than those who do not. They and their families would be guaranteed a life of luxury without any worries. But those who did not would simply live normal lives of admiring those who were better off than themselves.

The colour of the children's eyes would determine their personality and the talents and abilities that they would flourish in.

Those who were born with red eyes, you would be the symbol of protection. You would excel in athletic fields and talents including track, archery, boxing, etc. They usually did not have a very kind personality, but would definitely not hurt others in any way.

Lavender eyes were the colour of deceit. Those who were born with it often had an immense charm with them. They're known for telling the truth, but hopping around crucial details that would make them seem suspicious. Surprisingly, those who possessed lavender eyes were the most reliable people and were hard workers. They're always willing to put somebody else above themselves and are always looking out for others. Because of their personality, they are often able to trick others into doing what they want without the other even knowing. They're best at luring people who have done wrong. Reverse psychology is the key.

If one possesses blue eyes, they are the best guardians. They do not protect others as the reds do, but they guide a soul on their way. This prevents mental illnesses and crime rate dramatically. The guardians soothe the mind of the soul and redirect them. Those with blue eyes often make the best therapists.

Orange. Orange is the colour of sin. People are not born with orange eyes. It only turns that way after they have committed a great act of crime or treason. It is rumoured that there will come a time when a child with orange eyes would be born, and that child would be the cause of a revolution. It is told that this child would possess endless powers, and after that child is able to harness it, a new god would be born.

But one day, a child with white eyes was born. His eyes were a silver-white and his skin was pale, his hair whiter than snow. None had ever seen anything like this before. And to prevent further rumours about this unique child, the child was blocked off from the rest of the world. News about the child soon faded away until its existence was forgotten.
