I’m so stunned that I can’t even find the words to respond. I just stare at him with my mouth hanging open, trying to get something out, but I can’t. There’s suddenly such a silence in the room that you could probably hear a needle drop.
“Dude, you’re not being f*****g serious,” Marcus suddenly heats up, shaking his head in disbelief. I look at him, unable to believe what’s happening. When did we get to the point that Jake is the one saying stupid things and Marcus is knocking sense into him? It’s supposed to be the other way around!
