Not complete dark — there's a crack of light under a door somewhere to my left, thin and yellow and not enough to see by properly. I lie still and take inventory the way Joss taught me: body first, then environment, then options. Don't move until you know what moving costs. Body: left shoulder throbbing where the dart hit.
