Chapter 3 Alibi 🖋️ Janet came back to meet a fuming Omar. Omar was so angry that if there was a price for being angry she'll come first. "What happened sister?" Janet asked. That was more than a question for Omar, it was more like an opportunity to explode but she held it in not wanting to explode in class for she had a high pitched voice. It was worst when ever she's angry and right now, she is. She handed Janet's bag over to her and dragged her hand towards the door. Janet couldn't help but laugh. Omar was always like this when angry, tossing her and ranting as she pleased but it always gave Janet a chance to see the all so perfect Omar loose control and that would be happening soon once they are alone, away from the crowd, strangers and school. Omar was a fan of buckling up, she hated relying on people people and solemnly or never show her affection or feelings but with Janet and their parents, it was different. Yeah their parents. The Akindeles officially adopted Omar after Isabelle passed away. When they got outside the building ,a cab was waiting for them and Omar behaved like a chilvarous person by opening and holding the door for Janet. It was her way of making Janet pay the cab man without an argument. "Should I get in" Janet asked to rile her up but Omar being Omar always have a comeback. "No my lady, climb through the tires and get to the top or better still run after it." Omar said. She was very close to shouting but held it in. This was a show Janet could pay a hundred thousand to watch, too bad she was a cast herself. "Seeing as you're being a gentle lady with a lot of chilvary in you," Janet said making emphasis on chilvary. "you might as well have said get in my lady". Janet said making Omar glare daggers at her. Janet entered the car when she got no response from Omar. Omar should try to let things be less serious else she'll grow wrinkles from frowning too much. Janet thought but kept her thoughts to herself. In the cab, all Janet did was laugh cause Omar was making things so serious that one might as well say she was adding reasons to her fury to become more furious cause that's exactly what was happening. "He ordered me? Akindele Omar to come to that lecture hall by 5 and walked away?? How dare he? Jeez so stupid? And I pray he does from frowning and wrinkling"Omar chanted on. "Wait between the both of you who was frowning throughout the whole lecture?" Janet interrupted Omar. "Whatever!" Omar said with an eye roll and continued ranting. "You like him!?" Janet suddenly said. "He's just cute" Omar replied before realizing what just said, she suddenly grew quiet and the cab driver couldn't be any happier. "Omar!!" Janet gasped at the sudden confession "Omar..... You find him cute? She wishper yelled. "here we go again " the cab driver muttered to himself but seems like Janet heard him cause she offered him a small smile, one he saw through the rare view mirror. "Now I get it" Janet said before laughing. " No you don't" Omar replied meekly. Her expression was like that of a child caught taking something that wasn't hers. It suddenly made Janet remember their childhood story when Omar's mum would keep chocolate bars and always find them missing, so, she set a trap to catch who always took them and it was Omar . Omar was a very mischievous little girl and she would always find out where her mom kept candies, she would wait till the woman was distracted before going to kitchen, the plate rack section to take it. She didn't eat alone, she always gave Janet who covered up for her. Hell broke loose that day. Alex himself personally cained both his daughters himself and thought them the importance of asking and not stealing. "You find him cute and you're used to jerky cute guys but him apologizing to you by the hallway broke your opinion about cute guys and you don't like it" Janet said connection the dots or more like accusing Omar. "I don't know what you're talking about" Omar replied with a shrug while a blush crept up her cheek. "Just don't get heartbroken if it later becomes love cause that's what happens in most case." Janet chided her. Omar knew better than arguing, so, she let her sister think whatever she wanted while they both laughed. "Omar!!" Janet gasped making Omar blush even more but she tried hiding it by bitting her tongue. "You're blushing" Janet screamed breaking her resolve and making her laugh. "No I'm not" Omar argued in between laughter while Janet tickled her. "Yes you are." Janet replied still tickling her sister. "We're here ma'am " the cab driver said. Janet brought out some money from her bag and handed it over to the taxi driver before they walked into the store. The small hairdressing saloon Omar's mum left behind has transformed into a beauty parlour. It offered both hair, spa and make up services anything that had to do with beautifulcation on both male and female, the store offered it. Omar and Janet passed through the store to get to the 3 bedroom apartment that Isabelle managed to build before passing away. "Omar!" Janet called making Omar pause her hand on her room door knob. "Huh" Omar asked nonchalantly. "Please wear something decent that we can go out with and I ordered food." Janet added.
