McKenna's POV.
My body became so rigid and stiff. I felt a sudden dread and sense of coldness taking over my body. My chest suddenly felt tight that I could hardly breathe, but I didn't care. All I could think of was:
'He left me. He left too. He said he would always be there for me, but he lied.' I felt tears well up in my eyes as I suddenly let out a heart-wrenching scream.
"McKenna, what's wrong? Tell me, please. You're acting strange. What did Luke say? Talk to me, girl." She tried to hug me, but I pulled away and made my way to the seat I was sitting on a few minutes before. I picked up my bag and made my way out to the building, all the while ignoring Adeline's plea for me to tell her what's wrong.
