"Let's get back to what we're here for".

"I need to talk to her alone but if she prefers it she could have both present or one"

I walk to the door and call Sam in. She walks with her head down avoiding eye contact with me or anyone. I see my cousins glaring at her.

"Hey, don't look at her like that. Be nice."

"But," they said in unison

"No buts," I said

They looked down like they were children

"Sam?" I asked.

"Yes Nicole" she answered.

"Do you want them present for this conversation or will you talk to me alone"

"Can they be present"

"Yes"

They sat down

As a child, I hated you and Alex. You had everything while I had to live in the shadows with my mother. When I was brought to this home, I thought you all hated me, but as I grew, I knew it was part of my imagination. I still resented you. I always came third and was told I didn't have to do anything, just follow my dream." When you introduced Xavier to me, I fell for him, but he loved you, or that's what he made you believe.

A few months ago he came to my room asking me if I had seen you. Before I could answer, he kissed me, and we had s*x there. He took my virginity and told me he loved me. That he wanted you for your money and we could run away with it. I told him no, and I was going to let you know, but he sweet-talked me all the time till four days ago when he started saying he wanted everything and was going to get rid of you a few months after the marriage.

I called Alex and let them know what I did. He was beyond disappointed and angry with me. I told him I was pregnant, and he told me he would be back in a week and not to let me know till he dealt with the problem.

When I heard you talking on the phone with him about the inheritance. Xavier was telling me that the day after marriage you would suffer an accident. So then maybe he could get them money after he made you write a will stating you left everything to him.

Before I could say anything, Beatrice and Father say you're pregnant. They looked in shock at all the information they were told.

I thought you slept with Xavier, and we're seeing him behind your sister's back. Why didn't you tell us all of this? Your sister was in danger and you kept quiet for his love. You told us just a few hours ago, but you couldn't tell us this important information," I hear Beatrice scream.

Beatrice stood up and left not before telling her she was disappointed in her.

Sam began to cry her eyes out. My father went to hug his daughter something he's never done to me. It hurt a lot watching this. I was in pain, but he didn't care. I had plenty of family to show me, but he always preferred Sam, and that hurt more.

"What are you going to do with that pregnancy I say. Are you going to abort it or keep it?"

She looked at me with fear. "No, I want to keep it. This baby didn't do anything wrong." I made the mistakes, not him or her. I will leave and take care of it on my own.

I see my dad's face turn red.

Is that what you want to make you feel better? Nicole, get her to abort it.

"I am asking her what she wanted to do."

" Are you kicking her out?" Father said.

"Did I say that sort of thing" this isn't my choice to make it's yours"

"Well, no, she's not leaving or aborting it. That's my first grandchild."

"I'm sorry she says I didn't mean to cause you harm, sis," she continues crying.

As Im about to say something Beatrice returns and says

"Nicole I'll be leaving this household and taking Sam with me. She has caused you unrepairable damage"

I slap my hand over my head. This is just drama; I can't stand it anymore.

"Will all of you be quiet and let me finish saying what I wanted to say before you all interrupt!!."

"Nicole don't you raise your voice," Father says

I roll my eyes "Stop interrupting me I tried to be polite and patient but it seems you all going to talk and not let me finish"

"Beatrice, sit down next to your daughter. She needs you."I say.

"No, you need us,", she says before letting me continue.

I see pain all over Sam's face when she hears his mother say that.

"Beatrice's father said he isn't going to let her leave or stop the pregnancy. Sam decides to keep, and honestly, I'm not going to stay here after everything that happened. I can't respect her or both of you and that child, for that matter.

If Sam had spoken to me of her feelings and not hi,d, it would have been a different story. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I know our family is wealthy. and with dad's help, she wouldn't need anything, but Xavier is the child's father, and he will be signing "prenup," but actually, he will be signing his acknowledgment that he is the child's father and will give shares to you, Sam."

They all look shocked and want to say something

but I put my hand up if this doesn't work well. I'm sure Father will come up with a better plan.

He nodded and I said well this anything else

Who will be managing your inheritance? Father says

Alex will and before you say something. I can't trust you father.

He was going to scream at my little comment but Beatrice nodded her head.
