Ken picked up his phone and dialed a number, waiting patiently for the person to pick up…
“Yes, Ken? Did something happen?” Amanda asked with surprise, this was the first time that he had called her.
“When are you coming back?” Ken didn’t want to sound like a spoiled child but he really missed Amanda already.
“Soon… I have work I need to do…” Amanda answered her voice softening as she listened to her child’s voice.
