Chapter 43: Once a Con, Always a Con
“What is it?” Albert asked indifferently as he stared at the woman that approached him slowly.
“I wanted to talk with you for so long… It’s been more than half a year since we last slept together.” As if the woman had absolutely no shame to speak like that in front of the child. She continued to keep an eerie smile that suggested nothing good.
“Dad… Let’s go… Mom said we shouldn’t be here…” Ken’s anxiety was coming back to him as he saw the woman. His instincts telling him something was horribly wrong. He was afraid.
“It’s okay Ken, let’s go now.” Albert easily agreed with the child’s request. Despite not being able to sense anything himself, he didn’t want to make Ken uncomfortable.
