She’s pissed. Damn it, I should have held my frustration in. She looked ready to punch one or all of us right now, and I still had this sick feeling in my gut from her words. As she started to head back towards the packhouse, her body vibrating like she was getting ready to shift, I called out, “Take a couple of guards back with you to be safe.” “I can keep myself safe,” she snapped. “I don’t want to inconvenience anyone else.” “Chloe, it’s non-negotiable,” I said firmly. “Whatever you say, Alpha,” she muttered, then shifted back to her wolf.
