Kristina's POV
"Yes Jace is my son." I said out loud watching his face fade into betrayal and confusion. I'm good at reading people's expressions and it tells what their thoughts are.
"My adopted son. Three years ago Jace's parents died in a rogue attack. His parents are the ones who took care of me and my brother. My family has a close relationship with them and I promised to take good care of him as they did to me." I continued to explain to him on the mind link.
"Does he know the truth?" Xavier asked on the link. I shook my head no, "I will tell him soon when he grows up and understands."
"You can call me daddy starting right now little man." Xavier said as he ruffled Jace's hair and smiled softly on the little kid in my hands. He lifted his head and looked at me confused. I winked at him and smirked. He finally nodded his head as he understood my gestures.
"Why don't we grab some breakfast first then later on you can come along with us to the mall." I said as I carried him to the kitchen I sat him down on the chair and rummaged cabinets to look for the ingredients that needed to cook a pancake. Xavier followed us in and put the frying pan on the stove.
"Can daddy come with us?" Jace asked hopefully as I made a batter
"He's a busy man maybe next time." I answered rolling my eyes
"Sure I'll drive you there." He chuckled and I almost jumped from shock when I felt his arms on me back hugging me, as his lips leaving trails of kisses on my neck I shivered from those sparks that ran on my spine. I couldn't help but to sigh a quiet hum loving how it felt. Jace giggled behind us which made me realize the inappropriate thing that Xavier has done. I stomp on his feet so hard that makes him groan and let me go. He stumbled a little and sat beside a giggling Jace. "Your mommy is a wild rabbit." Xavier hissed which makes Jace to laugh more. Xavier has decided not to annoy me and started telling stories to Jace, he looks so happy and was so immersed in his own imagination which I'm actually glad as I can cook peacefully.
After cooking the pancakes I put them on the plates good for 3 servings. I've sprayed whipped cream beside the pancakes and sprayed some chocolate syrup on top garnishing it with a strawberry and 2 blueberries. I added more chocolate syrup on Xavier's plate and carefully put their plates in front of them and bring mine to the other side of the table and started to dig in.
"Wife you make progress you finally know how to take care of your husband and even know that chocolates are my favorite." Xavier coed at me and smirk
"Give me your plate that's supposed to be mine." I said rolling my eyes. He stuck his tongue at me and ate.
I already finished eating and watched the two of them eat. I raised my eyebrows at Jace while he was eating because I knew he didn't like berries. He put them aside and finished his last slice of pancake.
"Jace, what did I tell you about fruit." I warned
"But I hate berries mommy." he reasoned out
"Finish them or else." I smirk and cross my arms
He gulped and quickly ate them "Look mommy this smell likes you." He forced a laugh and ate the strawberry before making a disgusted face. I collect their plate and put them on the sink.
"Mommy always forces me to eat disgusting foods." I heard Jace whisper while I got a glass on the cupboard and put it in front of them to get the fresh milk in the fridge. I sensed the two of them moving and attempted to sneak out. "Both of you sit back down." I strictly told them they sighed in defeat and comply. I put a teaspoon of sugar on Jace secretly and gave them both their glass.
"What kind of milk is this?! It tastes nothing!" Xavier said after he had a sip on the glass.
"Drink it or I'll help you." I smirked evilly. Jace made a oOoo voice and stiffened a laugh as I tilted his head and squished his face and made him drink the milk. I covered his mouth with my two hands before he could even spit them. "Boss!" a voice called us. We both looked at the entrance of the kitchen and saw Sky's surprised and unreadable face. Xavier gulped down the milk and I cleared my throat and sat back down on my seat.
"What are you fussing about?" Xavier asked clearly annoyed
"Sister in law you whaha boss you're already tortured early this morning what have you done to- '' embarrassed I pinch Xavier's leg behind the table he hissed "shut up! Talking nonsense early in the morning what's the matter?"
"Oh right boss On Edward's behalf he asked for your permission that he would like to go home first."
"When does he wish to leave?" Xavier asked
"Soon as possible. Hopefully right away." Sky answered unhappily
"Edward who?" I asked as my heart thump nervously
"My delta." He Gulped and said, "I'm gonna go get the car ready." He continued then hurriedly got up and left. I shrugged and brought Jace to my office to change his clothes wet with his sweats.
"Mommy can I borrow your phone?" he asked as I helped him climb into the car. I gave him my phone after clasping the seat belt on him.
I went into the passenger seat and soon after that we took off. I could feel Xavier's hand slowly creeping into mine. I glared at him and attempted to remove my hands from his but he gripped it grinning proudly as he drove in one hand.
"Drive properly Xavier, there's a child in the car." I said sternly. He chuckled and brought my hands with him on the steering wheel. "tsk whatever" I said and rolled my eyes.
It was a 30 minutes' drive to the mall Xavier parked the car in the underground parking lot and he gave my hand a kiss before letting it go. He went out of the car and helped Jace at the back. I went out the car and put my wallet on my pocket as I followed them inside Xavier pull my hands while he carry Jace on his arms we went straight on the grocery store Xavier pushed the cart while Jace was seated inside arranging the foods,
"Mommy can we buy sweets?" Jace asked as he sucked his thumb. I frowned at him but before I could scold him Xavier stopped him from doing it.
"We will if you're going to be a good boy." I answered as I reached to get some milk choosing the sweet ones which would now suit their taste buds.
We ended up having 6 big carts full of food we went to the counter to pay. "With all due respect, would you mind me asking if you are absolutely sure that you can pay for it all?" the cashier asked, looking at all the carts I nod at her and gave her my credit card.
