Aldo joined the chorus of feet tapping on the sticky linoleum flooring of the history class. All eyes weren"t on Mr. Merchant, who droned on at the head of the class. The middle schoolers" gazes were on the clock on the wall, watching the seconds tick by. Just a few more rotations and they"d all be set free for recess. Recess and lunch were the only reasons Aldo enjoyed school. He was good at math, but bored by it. He was bored by history, but good at memorizing all the facts. Studying any subject seemed like a waste of time to him, since he knew exactly what he"d be doing when he turned eighteen.
