On Monday morning, Aldo got up and dressed in his uniform. He looked in the mirror and saw a carbon copy of himself. Though it wasn"t an exact replica. For the first time, he started to notice how different he and his brother were. There were worry lines at Aldo"s eyes where Mateo"s looked upbeat and happy. There was a sag to Aldo"s shoulders where Mateo"s were straight, ready to take on the world. Aldo felt tired. He looked tired. Mateo looked energized and happy. The man was in love. And the woman he loved returned his feelings. That much was evident in how Kailyn Matthews threw herself into Mateo"s arms after she won the bid for the after-school program the two of them had been vying for for the past few days that Aldo had been out of town.
