I have been back at home for two weeks, and during that time, Kane has been upset. However, I can see that his anger is subsiding. He no longer responds to me with just one word and doesn’t leave the room when I’m inside, so I consider that progress.
Yesterday, he almost slipped and accidentally called me “baby girl.” I couldn’t help but smile as he walked away.
Upon entering the apartment, I initially felt unsettled, but that feeling eventually subsided. Currently, I am staying in the room I occupied when I first moved in, while Kane is in the room previously used by Jess and Elijah.
