After dinner, Elizabeth and I convinced Anna to go to bed and we cleared up the table, tidied the kitchen, and started doing the dishes. I had missed being with Lizzy so much that I just wanted to soak up every moment I got with her and I was glad that she didn’t object to that.
“I really missed hearing your voice,” I said as she packed away some plates
“What do you mean I came to see you every day and I spoke every time I was there, in fact, I spoke more than you did,” she said with a smile
“I know but I lost track of reality at times I just thought you being there was just me wishing on things and then convincing myself they were real,” I said as she returned to the skink where I was standing.
