“Did you really have to be that rude Liam?” I asked
“Lizzy sometimes you tend to be too kind and too trusting” he snapped and he was right but I really believed that Ashley was being genuine I could see the grief and the pain in her eyes. Her father might have been a bad influence in her life but she was clearly fond of him and she loved him very much.
“I know that but I think we should have been nicer to her,” I said
“if we had been even a little nicer to her she would have asked us if we could let her sleep since it was already dark and she would have asked if it was ok if she slept with us in the same room and in the middle,” he said and I laughed, now he was just exaggerating
