The young nurse just kept on getting to me. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as I thought about her wearing that silly clown outfit. Brynn was too wonderful for words. And it amazed me how fast she was getting into my heart.
She’d actually taken some of what I had told her to heart, and that meant a lot to me. That meant she had really listened to me. So, I needed to really listen to her.
I couldn’t get her in trouble for messing around with a patient. I had to try and tone down the flirting. But it wasn’t going to be easy. I wasn’t used to waiting for what I wanted. Patience wasn’t a thing I’d ever had much of. I assumed that I never would.
Being quick to get into a relationship is what had gotten me in trouble in the first place with the nut job I’d fallen for. Patience
