Chapter 9 - Instincts kick in

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS SOME FIGHTING SCENES AT THE BEGINNING

***Zane’s POV***

This morning had started off f*****g shite after a call from my uncle for another job to do tonight overall it had just been a really bad start to the morning, I was not in the mood to see anyone today and had to drag myself to school. The highlight of my day was sitting close to Ella ,she looked beautiful,  there is just something about being in her company I get this weird feeling that I can’t quite put my finger on. She captivates me to whole new levels without even knowing it. I could sense her shyness which made me snigger it inside. I was probably too snappy at her but I was still in a pissed off mood. 

I am on my way to meet Finn and the others , They currently have eyes on our target, we each take our positions as Finn and I go round the back of the building to confront the bastard waiting for us. 

“ Thanks Stephen we will take it from here” I say to the owner and signaled for Finn to untie the other  man in front of us. 

The son of a b***h is already on his knees so I take the opportunity to kick him twice in his ribs and stomach not even phased by his groans , he falls to the ground and I make short work by jumping on him punching the s**t out of him over and over again.

“ I suggest you start paying up Or you will end up in an even worse state than you are now ”

“ I would like to see you try asshole” He snorts spitting out a mouthful of blood at me and that’s when I loose it .

I start to pound more punches into him until he goes silent , At this point I can’t tell what blood is mine from  my busted knuckles and what is his. 

I am just about to give a final blow when Finn Yanks me off just-in-time.

“ that will do bro , he’s out cold” 

Just then my phone goes, it is Max , “ get the f**k out , there are people coming” 

Job done and dusted .

I was exhausted from Last nights fight but I said to Josh that I would show face at his party tonight. It is busier than the last one , word of it has obviously spread . I am surprised Finn and the others haven’t caught wind of it, I was here purely for business and didn’t want them ruining that. After I caught up with Josh and updated him on our progress I bumped in to this girl (Amber or Ashley ) she kissed me  but slobbery as f**k and I certainly wasn’t going in for seconds. 

I leaned into Josh “ Bro get this f*****g girl off my arm she’s doing my head on and does not take no for an answer “

 I was ready to shove her off me when I spotted Ella and Bethany and once again I couldn’t help but stare , she looked absolutely stunning it was effortless for her , she wore a long sleeved, burgundy dress which showed off her petite figure , her hair was down and curled tucking nicely under her chest, A low groan escaped my lips. 

She looked this way as Bethany waved hello to her cousin . Ella’s eyes shifted to me then to the girl on my arm before swiftly staring at the floor I was too occupied that I had completely forgotten about the girl still clinging to me

 “Beat it “ I snarled at her through gritted teeth .

 Thank f**k Josh came to my rescue -

“ Hey Amber , Dean is over there , why don’t you go and say hello think Zane has had enough for one night” 

“With pleasure “ she flipped her hair in my face giving me a dirty look and off she went looking for her next piece of meat to annoy

“ So you got your eye on someone else then huh?” Josh said raising a brow 

“ I don’t know what you’re talking about” my pissy mood was beginning to go from bad to worse

“ Oh Come on man I saw the way you were checking Ella out I mean I can’t blame you I think most guys are , once upon a time I would’ve been doing the exact same thing she is a very pretty girl however I am more of a protective brother to her now “ 

I didn’t realize how hard I was squeezing my can of beer until the wounds from last night burst open... shit

I told Josh that I was going to the bathroom to clean my hand it was nice just to get some peace and quiet but unfortunately that was short lived when there was a loud bang on the bathroom door. 

“WAIT!” I shout back

Then a second knock

“ I said wait a f*****g minute’”

I could hear giggling outside then a third knock,  right that is it!  Whichever fucker is outside is going to meet my fist. As I swung the door open with my fist up and ready Amber pushes in and closes the door behind her.

“ What the f**k are you doing here? get the f**k out!!“ I boomed

“Oh don’t be like that baby we are alone now we can finally do what we want” she whispered in my ear trying to undo my jeans 

“ Get your f*****g hands off me or else!!“ I warned

She just laughed then took her hand under my shirt pulling it up and that is when I reached my Limit , I grabbed her by her arms and pushed her back hard against the wall , the amusement on her face had been completely wiped off by the anger in mine, 

“Stay.The.Fuck.Away.From.Me” The vicious tone of my voice was clear now, this was her final warning

She just nodded as we both walked out of the bathroom a crowd outside erupted in a loud cheer .

“Amber was he a 10 out of 10 Then?” Someone shouted out

I just rolled my eyes but could see Amber smirking from the corner of my eye, f*****g b***h.

Something or rather someone caught my eye as I turned to see Ella and Bethany with standing only a few feet away from the crowds, both of them looking too tipsy for my liking , her crystal blue eyes looked had a flash of something in them, couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was but again it could just be the drink. 

Bethany dragged the two of them away Suggesting they go and get another shot. 

Something instinctively told me to keep a watchful eye on them they didn’t seem like regular partygoers or big drinkers and I didn’t want to annoy Josh either about his cousin drinking because although he was laid back he was also very protective over her and had other matters to worry about and anyway he was probably away with some girl by now so I set about looking for them myself.
