Chapter 25 - Head Held High
*** Ella*** It was now lunch time and Bethany and I were walking back to school after visiting the sandwich shop. Looking ahead I saw Zane hanging out by a wall with his usual company. I stopped dead in my tracks, I didn't want to even see Zane, especially after his outburst to me yesterday. Bethany sensed my hesitation when she turned to face me. "It's okay we will just quickly walk past and ignore them" "Right okay.." I was unsure but I didn't want to let him get to me so I was going to wear my brave big girl pants! My stomach was in knots when approaching him, what if he started on me again? but I also wanted to show him that I wasn't scared of him. Bethany linked my arm and whispered in my ear "Remember.. head held high". I grinned back and decided I was going to keep that smile on
