The next week was quite uneventful for Ava. Reluctantly, she had made Alex cancel her schedule for the week. Luke had said it wasn't safe to be out and about yet, especially at work, and she needed to recover from the shocking experience.
She just lay in bed most of the day, surfing the net, and still trying to get some work done on her phone.
On some other days, she binged-watched almost all the TV series she'd added to her list on Netflix. She'd never really been a movie person so she dozed off on some of the series.
Luke was barely at home that week, so she hardly saw him. He left early for work everyday and came back really late, most nights not even coming home at all.
