  Susan shook her head. She somehow knew she wouldn't be able to say anything to Ava, when she'd seen them staggering home. She knew how Ava could be when she was drunk.   She took a sticky note from the bedside table and scribbled a note on it, then gently closed the door behind her, as she left the room.   She was going to talk to Ava later. She needed to.
