My alarm rang at 5:30am. I put it off and clung tighter into his arms. It rings everyday at that time, I never get up unless it’s an exam day. I enrolled into an open university earlier this year and my man handled all the bills that came with it. I don’t have to worry about rushing to class except I have exams to write. I would put off the alarm every morning, stay half awake while holding tight into my man’s cuddle. I stay there sniffing his body and his morning breath, sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant but I have never gotten irritated from it. At times, I sleep off again in his arms but most times, I lay there with my love. I stay still for as long as I can, then get up to my daily chores and head to my sewing room. He works from home so I leave him to enjoy his sleep unless he asks to be woken up at a certain time.
After my almost daily routine in his arms , I tiptoed towards the wardrobe, opened it then reached out for my yellow pad purse which had ‘Dry Love’ scripted on it. It is where I keep the PT home strip, I zipped it open, took out the strip then matched quietly into the bathroom. I chose to use it first and whatever the result may be, I don’t have to tell him I used a strip. He doesn’t like it when I lie to him and I hate how it makes him feel also. However, I was quiet sure it will come out negative. I dipped the strip into my urine with a smirk on my face because it felt like I was wasting my precious morning away. It came out Positive!
I blinked my eyes severally. I didn’t have to look much into the lines, it gave two bright striking lines. I just blinked to make sure I wasn’t the one with the faulty eye. I picked up the pack to see what two lines means again, It spelt Positive. I wasn’t surprised, instead, I was disappointed in myself for taking so long to take the test. Why have I been thinking it’s some serious problem I have with my health?. It’s a relief. The pregnancy is not even a problem at all, there was an official introduction held a month ago, his family had come to see mine and marriage talks has been going on. I had my bath, dressed up and headed to the laboratory.
