The last thing I remember doing was listening to ‘Alafia’ by Simi ft Bella Shmurda. I was jamming softly to the lyrics as it resonates deeply with me. Every line of the music spells all that my man mean to me. Out of having a perfect peace, I slept off from listening to the love song. I must have slept for about an hour and suddenly, I heard a loud bang on the door. It was so hard and I jumped up from my sleep. Who could be at the door knocking like a functionally unlettered?. It is not my man because he would never do that. He never knocks like that, he sends texts that he is at the door or put a call through to tell me to open the door.
Shockingly, it was him. I opened the door and he just moved pass me into the room. He grumbled some words which I barely heard but I knew he was asking if I was sleeping. I gave him a puzzling stern look, he looked at me and looked away then took off his t-shirt. I felt someone had angered him from outside, it could be the police. He always had issue with them since his driving license expired. He had filed for a new one but it’s yet to be out for documentation. I don’t know what’s keeping the agency so long to prepare a driver’s license. These are the issues that makes me sick of Nigeria!
