Marks on the Road

The night after Luna’s breathtaking performance at the Bonham, Asher couldn’t help but replay everything in her mind. The way Luna had moved with such fluid grace, the playful tension between them as Luna had entrusted her with securing the ropes, and that moment at the top of the ladder, when Luna had winked at her like a challenge. Asher had been so captivated by Luna that she’d almost forgotten to watch the rest of the show. Now, sitting in the quiet of her new apartment in San Antonio, Asher found herself reaching for her phone, typing out a message with a sense of purpose. “Hey Luna, I’m thinking about getting a touch-up on my tattoo. Maybe some more work too. If you’re free later?” Her thumb hovered over the send button, and a mischievous smile curled on her lips. She hadn’t really thought this through—well, not entirely—but she wasn’t about to pass up an opportunity to spend more time with Luna, especially after the way things had left off at the club. She hit send. Luna replied within minutes, her response as confident as always. “I have a late slot available tonight at the shop. Come through. You’re always welcome, Asher.” There it was—her invitation, clear as day. Asher didn’t hesitate. She grabbed her jacket, slung it over her shoulders, and headed out. When Asher arrived at the tattoo shop, the neon sign outside cast a soft purple glow onto the pavement. The shop was quiet, almost eerily so, with only the faint hum of fluorescent lights buzzing in the background. Luna was already there, sitting behind the counter, her tattoo station set up with the precision of a true artist. The door jingled as Asher walked in, and Luna looked up, flashing her that same sly, inviting smile. “I was wondering when you’d show up,” Luna teased, standing up from behind the counter and motioning for Asher to follow her toward the back. “I can’t resist a good touch-up,” Asher replied, her voice light but laced with something more. Her gaze flicked to Luna’s form—her leather jacket, the edge of a tattoo peeking out from under the sleeve. The desire to learn more about the woman before her, about those tattoos hidden beneath the fabric, stirred in Asher. Luna led Asher to a chair near the back of the room, settling her comfortably in front of a large mirror. The shop was dim, lit only by a few strategically placed lamps that cast shadows in all the right places. “You want me to fix up that sleeve, or do you have something new in mind?” Luna asked, her voice soft but commanding as she opened the tattooing station and prepared her tools. Asher stretched her arm out, feeling the familiar coolness of the chair against her skin. “Both,” she said, a hint of mischief in her tone. “I’ve got a few more ideas, but I’m not sure how much we can fit in one session.” Luna chuckled, stepping closer. As she moved, the intoxicating scent of her perfume mingled with the faint whir of the tattoo machine. “We’ll make room,” Luna replied, her voice low, as she studied the designs already etched into Asher’s skin. Asher’s lips curled into a sly grin. “I like to keep things interesting.” Luna chuckled, a soft, throaty laugh that sent shivers down Asher’s spine. She stepped behind Asher, preparing the tattoo machine, the quiet hum of the motor filling the space. “Well, you certainly keep things interesting,” Luna said, her voice a little quieter now, a little deeper. “But before we get started, I have one last question.” Asher raised an eyebrow, turning her head slightly to catch Luna’s gaze. “What’s that?” Luna’s face was close now, her breath warm against Asher’s ear as she adjusted the machine. “I’ve been curious… What did you think of my show?” The question hung in the air, charged with something unspoken. Asher’s heart skipped a beat, her pulse quickening as Luna’s lips almost brushed her ear. There was no mistaking the intent behind the question now. Asher's eyes met Luna's in the mirror, the air seemed to vibrate with anticipation, the tension between them crackling like a live wire. Luna's gaze was a slow burn, her pupils dilated with a hunger that went far beyond mere curiosity. Asher's skin prickled with goosebumps as she felt Luna's warm breath on her ear, the gentle caress sending shivers down her spine and igniting a spark of desire that threatened to consume her. She turned her head slightly, her lips inches from Luna's, and whispered, "I thought it was intoxicating. The way you moved, the way the ropes seemed to caress your skin... you were incredibly sexy." Luna's eyes flashed with excitement, her face inches from Asher's, their lips almost touching. The tattoo machine hummed softly in the background, a steady beat that seemed to match the pounding of Asher's heart, the thrumming of her pulse. Luna's fingers brushed against Asher's skin, sending sparks of electricity through her body, and Asher felt herself melting into the touch, her body arching towards Luna. "I'm glad you enjoyed it," Luna whispered, her voice husky with desire, her breath dancing across Asher's skin. "I have to admit, I was thinking of you the whole time, wondering what you'd think, wondering how you'd react..." The words hung in the air, a challenge and an invitation all at once, and Asher felt herself responding, her body leaning in, her lips parting in anticipation. As Luna's fingers danced across Asher's skin, tracing the lines of her tattoos, Asher felt her body come alive, her senses igniting like a wildfire. The touch was electric, sending shivers down her spine, igniting a fire that seemed to burn brighter with every passing moment. Luna's eyes locked onto hers, the connection between them palpable and intense, a spark of desire that seemed to arc between them like a lightning bolt. The air was thick with tension, heavy with the promise of something more, something that would leave them both breathless and wanting. As Luna's lips brushed against Asher's ear, whispering, "Let's make some new art, together." Luna straddled Asher gently, sitting on her lap as she began working on the tattoo. The sensation of Luna’s thighs pressing against Asher’s, their bodies so close, sent an electric charge through both of them. As Luna worked on her skin, Asher couldn’t help but focus on the closeness between them, the way Luna’s movements seemed so deliberate, yet effortless. Every brush of Luna’s body against hers, every shift in her position, made it harder to ignore the chemistry simmering between them. But for now, they both knew that the tattoo session was more than just about ink. It was a chance to test the boundaries between them. And with every stroke of the needle, Asher could feel the line between the two getting blurrier and blurrier. And neither of them was in a hurry to define it just yet.
