I was dressed in a blue slouchy sweater, a pair of denim baggy pant and a blue beanie. The desire to let my hair cascade down was too much so I gave in. Max was off to school with a tear-stained cheek, at first he was too reluctant to let me go but when i promise to talk to Ms westerbrooke to let them visit, he let go.
Dad and mom talked to the raven haired guy, Zane, while I play with white amulet in front of the TV. He wasn't the kind of Zane I envisioned him to be. He was hot and maybe my age with blue eyes.
Zane said the reason mum and I were able to drive to the academy was because the Councils wanted us too. But if I were to drive there again, I would see nothing, and amulet he gave me was to create a portal if i pushed one of the Burgundy button. Amulet with buttons? What an invention!
“Come on, time to say goodbye Nami” and a strange accent.
I nodded with a small smile before turning to mum, she wore a sad smile and her eyes glistened with unshed tears.
“Mum..” She wrapped me in a bone crashing hug which by the way, felt good. “I'll miss you” Sobs threatened to rack up my throat.
“Me too sweetie, me too” she released me and I dragged my feet towards dad. His hug wasn't bone crashing but warm.
“We'll come visit” he sniffed
“Yeah”
????? ?????
I didn't know which button I pushed, but I think it was the wrong one because the next minute I found myself in a creepy dense woodland. With Zane groaning by my side.
“You pushed the wrong button”
“Uh... Figured. Where are we?” I asked
“Behind the Academy, it would take ages to reach the building” he groaned again. “I really didn't plan on walking that far”
“Sorry” I apologized as I obtained my bags and he helped me.
“I might be the only person nice to you...” His way to start a conversation was sudden but it piqued my interest.
Our journey out of the woods continued. “What do you mean?”
“The first time one comes here, they find the others being nice, well except from the authorities.”
“Are they faking it?”
“It's like a rule here. On a member's first day, be nice”
“That's...weird”
“It's all a facade, and you should be wary of Ms westerbrooke's”

Niamh answers the question through her misty shroud. No one knew who she was. Aside from being the chatter Queen, she was just Niamh.
Just a drop of blood and she tells you what you want to know.
The way things worked in the Academy was different from the outer world. Tales were left for a few days before people could gossip about them. And so was the story about the new girl who didn't know the power she possessed.
Students lined up, overlooking the old building. It was a queer sort of place—a gable-ended old house, one side palsied, and leaning over sadly. And suddenly the door closed, with a writing above. 'SHE'S HERE'
The students were confused but when they saw the ivory-haired girl in blue sweatshirt and baggy pant approaching, they began to chatter in realization.

“So tell me what power you possess?” We were already out of the woodland and approaching the building, I couldn't help but notice the students staring at me.
“Teleportation. And don't tell I'm heartless for making us walk” He Chuckled “I'm still not that strong to go far”
“Oh...”
He suddenly pointed towards an old building. “You see that building?” I nodded.
“It's the chatter Queen's abode, Niamh. Just your blood and she tells you the latest gossip”
“Have you seen her before?”
Zane frowned “First of all, people says she's invisible and second of all I don't gossip” To be honest, Zane was a good listener...and a talker. He reminded me of Max. And now I was missing the little jerk.
“There's this girl Vada”
“Vada?”
“Yeah, she's a demon-”
“A demon? like a beast? a female beast?. And you'll are still alive” Truth be told I didn't know what I was saying. But this...demon of a thing sent chill running down my spine.
When I was six, mum bought me this new bed time storybook–since I love fantasies–it contained the wolf, vampire and demon thingy. They were always described as beast with fangs, claws and drink human blood. GROSS!
“Dude, chill. Vada is a demon and so is her younger brother Roman Hawthorne. He's a terrorist. And maybe the real definition of a beast” His lips curled.
“And now you're scaring me?”
It was hard being here, but with Zane's stories I thought I could cope. Which by the way was impossible. The stares were disturbing, I couldn't focus on anything he was saying.
It wasn't up to minute before we arrived the hallway That led to the 'principal' aka Ms. Westbrook's office. It was, classic.
“Gotta go, I've got other new students to pick up” He informed when the brown door came into view. He dropped my backpack on the floor before leaving.
“See you around”

The walls were sleek under my fingers, shiny. Ms. Westbrook just watched me from her swivel chair, letting me find a benefit from coming to this Academy.
“Good morning Ms. Westbrook” she was neatly dressed in a blue suit, her blonde hair in a bun.
“Is it? Miss. Chambers” she shook her head in disapproval when she saw the confusion in my face.
“Uh...where am I staying?”
“Meet the receptionist just at the dorm gate” Her reply was brusque like i was irritating.
“Thanks”
"You better keep your head low, Tsunami. I don't want reports on your first day” Addressing me by my first name made it sound serious.
“Uh...Okay, thanks...I guess” I collected a black card from her before leaving.

The walk to the dorm was pretty far, made me wonder how much and how long it took to buy and build the entire place. It even has a woodland, but then again, witches could chant a spell and create schools.
The students walking around and gossiping had lessen, the rest didn't pay attention to the new girl and I was grateful for that.
I was already panting when I reached the female's dorm, and wow! It was magnificent, but gave off more eerie feelings, the closer I got to the building, I felt like I was shrouded by fog. It was creepy. You know the feeling you get when you have a nightmare and then you wake up only to be in the nightmare.

The receptionist, Ms. Jocelyn Harrison was a brunette and a chatterbox. And just like Ms. Westbrook, she was dressed in a blue suit. I prayed the dress code doesn't go for the students also. A meeting that I presumed to last a five minutes, lasted fifty three minutes. She was telling me the story of her life. How she came here fifteen years ago. No offense but It was BORING!..
And then finally, she let me introduce myself.
“Tsunami Chambers, here's uh...the card, Ms Westbrook gave me”
She received the card with an awkward smile, and whilst she type my details into her PC, I looked around her fancy desk. The goldfish bowl caught my attention.
A goldfish bowl was what I had always wanted when I was thirteen, it was shiny and beautiful.
There was a time we were having the 2019 bicycle race at summer camp, and the winner was to get a goldfish bowl. I was a pro in bicycle races (not to brag), but on that day, my stupid July guest decided to show up, and I missed my chance to win the goldfish bowl. Sometimes I wish I wasn't a girl. Curse my luck!
“Here you go sweetie” Ms. Jocelyn handed me a file that contained the dormitories info, class schedule—not the normal class, if I'm right—, the principles, the Academy map (I do need a map) and my dorm room key.
Room 101
“Thanks Ms. Jocelyn”

???? ???
???????
I woke up in sharp panic, shocked by the half-remembered dream I just had, drowsily realizing it was beginning to get dark. I peeked at the bed beside Mine, it was vacant, a reminder my roommate wasn't there yet. It was long day, exhausting, confusing. And a sudden nightmare like that was strange.
“Who else would it be, if not Tsunami Chambers”
Uh ...Who is that?
The door creaked open jerking me out of my daze. Stepping in was a girl, flaxen-haired, dressed in a black knee-length skirt, white tank top a
nd black fishnets. She looked familiar, but the pink Milites Sancti Christofori's jacket made her doubted the familiarity. But on the nigher look and voice.
HOLY f**k!!
“THELMA?!”
You must be fuckking kidding me.
