Deep within the large underwater caves and tunnels, Gianna could be seen swimming at top speed like a torpedo through them, her movements though hurried were very elegant much like those of a ballerina, smoothly bypassing any obstacle in her path without pause or reducing in momentum.
At such speeds she reached and grace she soon found herself in a large bright and clear body of water. Schools of fish and other aquatic species are they large or small swam by peaceful, totally ignoring her presence or just avoid her completely. Even ones that had frightening looks saw her with a knowing look within their usual savage eyes.
Gianna didn’t look at this as she was already used to it, how could she be a princess of a race that had total domination over all the seas and oceans and still have trouble with aquatic lifeforms? It was an inherent trait within all aquatic beings to acknowledge her existence and never attack unprovoked at all, some would even just freeze and let her and or any of her siblings do anything to them.
Here attention was elsewhere, she looked straight ahead beyond the beautiful aquatic ecosystem around her and gazed at the large beautiful underwater castle that sat at the deep bottom of this body of water that was ginormous that she had no clue what to call it as she remembers trying to search for the end and almost got lost once.
Not that it mattered anyway as this building was her current home. And the location she needed to get to as per message she received that interrupted her precious time with that mysterious and handsome human male.
Oh, just the thoughts about him and being with him all alone tonight made her feel all giddy and excited. Never in her life had she done something like this, nor has she felt so strangely pleasant around him.
She had seen all manner of handsome males and princes from a lot of races. Yet, she for some reason felt just right in the mere presence of a stranger whom she found bathing.
These thoughts made her remember what she saw and it made her face hot even if she was way deep into the water. Shaking her head to clear the naughty thoughts that threatened to cloud her mind, she then thought of his magic. And it was only now when she thought about it did she realize that she couldn’t even sense it at all.
This has never happened before, if he was a deity she would have at least felt his divinity thanks to the goddess’ blessing, and if he was a regular person he wouldn’t have cast such a spell or any spell for that matter.
‘Haa! How many mysteries surround you, my handsome stranger?’ She unknowingly let loose a large smile as she swam through the water and was close to the castle fast that she even ignored the rest of her surroundings with Ezekiel being the one on her mind.
Around the castle’s entrance and surroundings, there were many strange and large aquatic creatures, some looked like half-man half-sea creatures of various kinds and sizes and they all seemed strong and vigilant, they were the guards of the royal army. The reason Gianna was alone was that they had already made sure that there was no danger nearby as well as that she had very powerful protection, that and she loved exploring on her own without being followed.
And it looks like she had fun this time around if the large and happy smile on her face had anything to say about it.
Thought most of the guards that saw their youngest princess and she swam by in a happy mood that all else seemed nonexistent to her. Though it got many curious at what she had discovered that made her so jovial?
Rushing through the wide and bright corridors, she swiftly swam by passing by many doors and rooms and reached one that had large doors adorned with various sized pearls and golden handles. Two tall crab-like guards that had dark red colored thick armor that looked natural as if it had grown from their very own flesh, which it was.
Stopping for a moment to catch her breath and look a little proper she didn’t bother with the guards as they merely bowed to her as she pushed the doors wide open.
Gianna came face to face with her siblings who were all seating in various sized seats made of large colorful clams. There were about 7 mermaids and 5 mermen. Each one had unique colored hair and eyes, but there was one feature that was similar in all of them and that was their deep various shaded tails.
They all stopped what they were doing, be it just lazing on their seats or chatting with the other siblings the moment Gianna swam in. There were myriad looks from them all, but this was normal since she could remember.
“Gianna, it's good you made it in time.” A deep resonant voice called out from the side of the room drawing Gianna to look towards it.
There she saw the largest merman in the room, was bare-chested torso much like the rest of her brothers but was more well build and had a thick and powerful azure-colored tail with thick black hair and yellow eyes, this was their firstborn, her eldest brother Sinoah Stormbreach the crown prince of their kingdom.
His air was majestic air that was radiated from his body even if just sat there calmly, his seat was like a throne as his arms rested on the side peacefully.
She had always believed that her big brother was the most handsome of her race, well he still is. But after her eyes had been washed by the body and face of one Ezekiel, she didn’t look at him with the same gaze, but she still adored him as he was a great big brother, strict but loving as well as very powerful.
It was said that he was the strongest among all the youths of their race’s kingdoms.
Next to him was her eldest sister who was the only one who was sitting next to him, she was born 50 years right after her eldest brother and she was the most beautiful mermaid in their kingdom right after their mother with a deep blue slender tail, gorgeous red hair and green eyes and a large bust. Her big sis was the best, she cared for them all and adored each one of her siblings. She was her favorite
“Gigi! Come to big sis and tell her what you discovered, I can tell that you seem pretty excited about what you found.” The soothing and melodious voice of her big sister called out when she noticed Gianna looking at her beckoning her to sit next to her.
This made Gianna smile a bit brightly before she did as ask and got closer to her big sister while ignoring the strange looks being given to her by her other siblings.
“You can discuss that later. We have a matter that called for this meeting.” The calm voice of Sinoah spoke once more as he turned towards the two before turning towards the rest of his siblings who seemed more attentive now that they heard this.
“Not long ago a few scouts discovered a relic site that they believe might hold powerful artifacts. One problem is that it is on land, the surface, the other is that we are not the only force that knows about this mystery. Meaning we will be staying here for a while longer to hold our position and wait for reinforcements as well as a few more treasures from home that can help us move on land. Also seems like the relic won’t be opened until a month, so get comfortable guys, we will be here for a while.” Sinoah said as each one was shocked at this revelation.
Relic sites were places left behind during the ancient war, they contain treasures and powerful artifacts from times past. Yet, in this world riches and danger are always hand in hand. Though this was true no one wanted to miss them there was always fighting when two or more factions met at a relic site.
So with that the group had of siblings had discussions one, but all knew that there was nothing more they can do other than wait for reinforcements.
The only one that was happy about this was excellent news to Gianna, her smile couldn’t be hidden and soon her big sister noticed this.
‘What did she discover that made her so happy. I think it is time I had a chat with my littlest sister.’
After the discussions on the new arrangements were made between the royal siblings, the meeting took a while but was soon ended and everyone dispersed.
Gianna quickly slipped out to head towards her room so she can make plans to sneak out tonight.
But she forgot one person.
“And why the rush little sis.” Gianna froze at this melodious voice that carried a hint of teasing.
Still not turning around she gently bit her lip in contemplation on what to say, if she had a choice she didn’t want anyone to know about Ezekiel. But she knew that sneaking out without any help would be a dream, perhaps she can let her big sister give her a hand, even if it meant meeting Ezekiel.
With a bright smile, she turned towards the oldest of the girls, “Big sis Melody.” She used a sweet and playful tone she could muster.
This made Melody fold her arms under very impressive melons, as she squinted her eyes at her little sister. Knowing her, Melody was sure that she was up to no good and wanted help with something that she shouldn’t mess around with or would get her in trouble.
“What is it this time?” She released a tired sigh as she shook her head, the things one did for their loved ones were crazy.
Looking around for anyone nearby, “Come, let’s go talk in my room.” She then dragged her towards her chambers.
Unbeknownst to them, a petite mermaid with long purple hair, purple eyes, and a bluish-purple tail came from behind a pillar, though petite she had a bust the same size as Gianna making them stand out due to her size.
She stared at the two and like a shadow she trailed behind them as her lovely eyes shone with mischievous light, ‘If am going to be here for a month, it is best to have some fun, little sis always has the best things to at times like these. Besides, what could be different this time?’
