Chapter 6Late Sunday Afternoon
They fetched Kitty and rinsed her off in the outdoor shower on the boards. Zach put the cooler in the trunk and Jason got Kitty into her booster seat. They shook out the quilt together and put it into the trunk. “I suppose that’s it until next year. This is the last week the lifeguards are on duty. I’m going to miss our beach and park trips. We have to think of some places to take her in the winter.” Zach told an astonished Jason.
