Week 1+ How to create an initial outline/ My outline

Ideas:

1. A college girl returns to her home for the holidays

2. She has to take care of her brothers

3. Her parents are away in a business trip

4. She finds out that she has a neighbor

5. He keeps a dark secret

Plot:

A college girl named Thalia returns home for the holidays to take care of her siblings since her parents are away. One day, one of her brothers disappears and she starts looking for him in the building. She finds him in the fourth floor next to a man, her neighbor who belonged to the royal family and is very reserved and barely leaves his apartment. But William always has a reason for his actions, only he knew that he had committed a terrible crime.

-Why weren't her parents there to take care of her brothers?

They had a brand new business that was starting to become very popular and had to go away to France to meet some new clients.

-Why did she lose her brother?

It was the first time she was all alone with her brothers and since she barely knew them she was still learning.

-Why did she find him next to William?

He was his neighbor and the boy asked for a book with the purpose of not bothering her sister.

-What excitement event triggers the intimate atmosphere?

William was very reserved, he barely spoke to anyone but when he's with Thalia he somehow opens up to her more than he had ever done, though he does it in very small and slow ways she manages to notice it more than anyone.                

-Why does William barely ever leave his apartment?

Only he knows that his twin brother didn't die for natural causes, his death was caused by the hatred towards him by his own brother.

Outline:

Scene 1: Thalia´s dorm

Thalia is forced to wake up to her phone ringing, after several attempts to find it she finally localizes it in her purse. She looks at the screen, its her mother. She answers the phone to find out that her parents will be forced to go to France since their company is starting to flourish which means she has to take care of her brothers who she barely knows, she had no choice but to accept.

Scene 2: Airport 

After a long flight Thalia arrives to the airport in London where she finds her father awaiting her arrival. They ride in a car towards the new apartment that her parents bought where her mother and brothers are waiting for her. Her father explains how the company is starting to be acclaimed by many people and they have to go to France to meet new clients. When they finally arrive Thalia is impressed by the place where she is going to live in the next two months. Her brothers greet her and show her around the place.

Scene 3: Apartment

It is Thalia´s first week and she is already regretting to accept to take care of her siblings, yes she loves them very much but she is still pretty new to being with them for so long. The twins, James and Grace, wanted to play a game that mandatorily had to be in the hallway outside their apartment. After some time discussing it with her brothers she had no choice but to let them. Everything was fine until they started fighting, it took Thalia five minutes to finally calm them down and returned reading her book but then she realized something, she had lost her youngest brother. He was nowhere to be seen. She started panicking as she tried to figure where a four year old boy would go. After a few seconds she decides to grab the twins and head to the fourth floor where she finds an open door. She rushes and finds Daniel next to a man. When Thalia had finally gotten hold of her younger brother she apologized to the stranger for the intrusion and thanked him also for tacking care of him. The stranger said nothing, he only nodded in a polite way but something in his stare told Thalia that he had enjoyed the boy´s company. Thalia couldn't get that stranger out of her head after that, something deep inside her wanted to know him more.
