Chapter 1-3

879 Words

After Brian and Raymond had joined detectives Suarez and Rourke for a full-scale shoot-out on the docks, they’d managed to apprehend their suspect, Anderson, with only a flesh wound shot to the leg (courtesy of Suarez) so he would live to face his charges and stand trial for murder. Case closed, for now. Brian and Raymond just had a ton of paperwork to get through, and work on their other caseloads. They were back at their desks in the squad room with snacks and coffee. It was going to be a long evening, Brian thought sadly, as he looked at the stacks and stacks of papers on his desk. “An eventful day, huh?” Maria Suarez said, acting all casual as she stopped by Brian’s and Raymond’s desk. Raymond grinned up at her, and she grinned back at him before they both turned to grin at Brian.
