Chapter 22 Tuesday 27 January 2032 The next morning Julie awoke to the subdued hum of a treadmill, punctuated only by Janus’s footpads as he ran kilometre after kilometre, not seeming to tire one iota. The amount of energy the young man had was incredible. He’d taken his customary three hours sleep after the movie had finished and, on awakening at 3:00 am, he’d assembled the multi-gym so that he could concentrate on getting into shape for the challenges that lay ahead.
