Julie had taken Janus out sightseeing the previous day, as an extension to his birthday treat, taking in Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. She’d thought it important that he should gain experience of dealing with crowds and, as just another tourist, he was able to do so with complete anonymity.
