Chapter 6: Dearest Friend

Our journey took an hour and half to get to my friends’ mansion, I looked briefly in the rear mirror to see Crystal playing with her travel bunny with Andrea. She really loves that bunny, she had it since she was a baby, Lorenzo bought it for as a welcome present. He helped me so much and took aver my business for a time of grieving over Saphira and having a new born as well.  After a month I was slowly getting back to normal, I mostly did work from home and having Crystal with me in my office in her mosses basket. There were times that I had phone on loud speaker talking to Lorenzo and all I could at their end the twins shouting “can we see the baby daddy we want to see her?” and they wouldn’t stop until their dad said yes. They visited that they day and stayed for dinner. The twins were 8 at the time and they never left her side well they left for toilet break and that was about it. They played with her and then Lorenzo gave the twins Elijah and Victor the bunny placing it on her small stomach while holding her. Lorenzo has secretly been taking pictures of them with Crystal even I was the picture, I did not mind it would go lovely in the photo album. I put the memories at the back of my mind and then we came to the big heavy gate that had 3 men in suits holding guns. The security round he is excessively big lots of men everywhere, I know that Crystal will be safe here on our visits. I took one look at the man at the gate and he buzzed us in after I carried on driving to the mansion and found the parking spot on the side of the mansion. Me and Andrea got out of the car adjusted our suits and then I went to Crystal’s door and got her out, still holding her bunny. I straightened her dress as some of it was creased and her upper legs was showing at the back.

I took Crystals free hand and 3 of us walked to the entrance, Lorenzo has cameras everywhere and has big camera room near the basement, the only places that don’t have cameras are the servant quarters, bedrooms and bath rooms for privacy. As we approached the heavy oak doors, I see Lorenzo and his two sons appearing from each side of him. “Hector dear friend, welcome to my home, hope you all had pleasant journey” Lorenzo said while giving Hector a hand shake “we all did thank you man, no traffic on the roads so there was no held ups”, “Boys don’t be soo rude say hi to our guests” said their father. “Hi Mr Saunders, Miss Crystal and Mr Andrea, welcome” said the twins. They like to say things at the same time which is cool. “Crystal sweetie know your manners” said Hector”. Crystal came from behind her father and gave them a small curtsy while holding her bunny “Thank you for letting us stay Mr Mala Dela” with a shy voice. The twins stepped forward and bowed to her which was extremely sweet. Crystal smiled at them which made them smile. “let’s come in as you wanted to discuss some matters Hector, boys take princess in the garden and play while me and Hector discuss things”. “yes father, come princess lets play”. I watched as Crystal walked to the twin’s hands as they are either side of her and walked in the mansion then followed Andrea. As we all walked in I followed Lorenzo up the big stays to his office which shows the back garden. “Hector my friend fancy a whisky?” “yes, please man” as he filled two glasses of whiskey and handed 1 to me and then sat down in front of him.

“What was it you liked to talk to me about man?”

“It’s about Crystal, you know I like to keep her safe and be well protected. If something happens to me, she will have no one and I do not want that, I was wondering if you like to be her guardian?” Hector said nervously

“Hector, I don’t know what to say but I will be honoured too, thank you man, I know the boys be very happy, they are no stop talking about her. I know it sounds silly but I think they love her like actually want to marry her and take care of her, I know they all are every young especially Crystal but when they are old enough would you accept marriage between them if it came to that?”

“I would happily accept that man, the boys have grown very close to her since she was baby, I know it would be very strange to some as 1 women marrying 2 men at the same time and I don’t think that the twins would be very happy if they couldn’t, they always did stuff together even with Crystal”.

“I did mention it to the boys and they said that they truly love her and wait till they are at a certain age and then go forward, with the other part they don’t care what people say it does happen and I think they are possessive type of what I can see when they are together”. Lorenzo said then sipped his drink.

“There is one for thing it’s a big massive favour” hector downing his drink for his nerves

“anything man anything” said Lorenzo automatically

“I am going open up an account for Crystal to have separately that you and I only know about, I was thinking of putting £500,000 in there but all in different sections and have all the information here, I just have a funny feeling in my gut that something bad will happen and I won’t be able to protect her anymore. We both live in a dangerous world and if I am gone, she will be all alone” Hector said will sobbing.

“of course, man I do anything for you and don’t worry she will be safe with us, lets sort out the papers etc”.

Once all the papers are sorted, I took a small box out of my trouser pocket and showed Lorenzo.  I am going to give this to her, it was silver locket that had Crystal Saunders engraved on it, Lorenzo looked at it and opened to see 1 picture on each side, 1 side had her mother and the other side Hector. “OMG Hector she will love it”, “I’m going to give it to her now as a matter of fact” “I think it’s a perfect time, look” looking at the window. Hector walked around the desk to the window and saw the three children singing ring a ring of roses, and doing the actions, such a lovely site. We both left the office and went to the back garden, big massive garden with a fountain at the back. “daddy I’m so happy to see you” giving her father a big hug. “Elijah and Victor helped me up on the see saw and played on that then we did my favourite song ring a ring of roses.” Crystal said happily. “I know sweetie we both saw; I have a gift for you”. Taking out the box from his pocket and gave it to her, she opened it and her beautiful face lit up, she opened, and tears formed in her eyes. Elijah and Victor comforted her then she stopped crying, “I know you haven’t met your mother but she will be very close to you as well as I, turn round sweetie so I can put it on”. She did as she was told and felt the cold chain around her neck held onto it and brought more smiles to her face. “thank you, daddy I love it,” then giving her father the biggest hug ever.
