Chapter One Manny’s Pub Pissed off does not come close to what Cat Heller was feeling! The asshole who dumped her pissed her off. That she had bought into his bullshit and fallen in love with his big c**k pissed her off. The world in general, and men specifically pissed her off. Her anger boiled over. Nothing can help a girl get over something such as that like a muscle car. Her new Hellcat was just the ticket, with its seven hundred plus horsepower, a six-speed manual transmission, and all the technology that went with a car like that. It was midnight blue metal-flake, and she named it “Blue Streak.” The leather interior was soft and plush. She specified no racing stripes for the car when she ordered it, and it made her wet between her legs when she drove it. On its twenty-inch custom wheels, it was very fast! She wanted a martini in the worst way. Luckily, her favorite bar was around the corner from her townhouse and her best friend forever, Madison, was always ready to go out and party. Madison, or Maddie as she was known was an artist. Her work was very popular in modern art circles as she was quite good. Cat parked Blue Streak in her garage and walked the short distance to Manny’s Pub. Here she was again, in a bar, alone, and doing what she had to do to get over yet another man. Cat was gorgeous, although in an understated way. Her auburn hair flowed past her shoulders and down her back, to her waist. Her warm, big brown eyes might have been her most notable asset if it were not for her slim figure and sexy body. Even though she usually wore very little makeup, she turned heads wherever she went. As a freelance photographer, she traveled often and had the wherewithal to do it in style. Her main photographic interest was classic/muscle cars and their owners, in exotic settings. She, too was quite good at what she did. On the day of her college graduation, majoring in journalism and photography, her parents died in a horrible traffic accident on their way to the ceremonies, leaving her three million dollars in life insurance, a well-balanced portfolio of stocks and bonds, and a country estate, which she sold to buy her townhouse in Dallas. At twenty-seven, she wanted to be around people and night life since she was single and alone and still missed her parents terribly. Spending all her time in the country did not appeal to her. She called Madison and they agreed to meet at Manny’s. It was a nice evening, but “Hell Cat,” was still steaming. She took a seat at the bar and ordered a gin martini, up, with a twist, her go to “get over this asshole” cocktail. Before she finished it, Madison walked in the door and took a seat on the stool next to her. “That was quick,” Cat said. Maddie had wheels, a nice Camaro, but she preferred to take alternative transportation most of the time. She lived there all her life and knew how best to get around. “Yeah, I guess so, girlfriend,” Maddie replied. “I was taking a little ride to the mall with Uber and changed my destination. Having a drink with you is much more important. Anyway, we were only a couple of blocks away when you called.” She changed the subject. “Gin martini, huh? Ok, Cat, what’s happened now?” Maddie knew something had to be up for Cat to go straight to the martinis. She knew her friend well. “What are you having, Maddie?” Mack, the bartender asked. Both girls were regulars at Manny’s and Mack took excellent care of them. He was handsome and had a great smile. “I’ll have what she is having, but on the rocks, please, Mack,” she replied. Cat drained the rest of hers in one gulp and put the glass on the bar for another. “Make them both,” she directed. He did and put them on the bar, one up and one on the rocks. “Here’s to hot cars and sexy men,” Cat toasted. “I’ll drink to that,” Maddie raised her glass to her friend. “Prosit!” Manny’s was quite busy that weekend night. It was a popular place in this part of town and the clientele was more upscale than most watering holes in the area. Singles, both male and female, couples, and larger groups all were there. Cat and Maddie liked to sit at the bar rather than a table, so they could see the other patrons and the patrons could see them. Maddie was also single and quite a looker in her own right. She kept her blonde hair at shoulder length and made herself up very tastefully to highlight her eyes and plush, full lips. They made quite a sight when they were together, and attracted a lot of attention from both guys and gals. Sometimes it was difficult for them to be by themselves and enjoy each other’s company. They always generated no limit of admirers, especially among the men. Both enjoyed it! They took another sip of their drinks, no chugging this time, and Maddie asked again, “So why the martinis, Cat? Sounds like man trouble.” She was very observant. “It’s over with Mr. Big d**k,” Cat explained “He is going back to his wife and children.” “Wife and children???” Maddie expressed her disbelief. “Did you know he was married?” “It was news to me,” Cat answered. “And he was such a great f**k! I really loved his c**k and the way it felt deep inside me.” They raised their glasses again and clinked them together. “Well, here’s to the next big d**k in your life!” Maddie said. “I’ll drink to that,” Cat agreed. “Are you talking about the s*x organ or the person?” “The s*x organ, of course,” Maddie clarified. “You have had enough dickheads in your life lately. You don’t need another one.” They both laughed, feeling the gin starting to do its magic. “Where is your baby?” Maddie asked. “You mean Blue Streak? He’s in the garage. I parked him and walked over here,” Cat answered. “Clever idea,” Maddie agreed. “Mack, another round here, please.” It only took him a minute to make them. Cat accepted hers and took a swallow. “How did you leave it with Henry?” Maddie asked after doing the same. Cat smiled and chuckled. It was beginning to seem funny to her. “I left him writhing on the floor in immense pain. He won’t be able to walk for a week,” she smirked and almost spewed gin over them both as she laughed at how she had left him. At least she hadn’t lost her sense of humor. “He deserved much worse! I guess he will have to find another pigeon to take to his secret apartment.” “I thought you said he was going back to his wife,” Maddie remembered. “Ha! That snake? I would bet he has another piece of ass, and I know it’s not his wife. He is too much of an asshole to do the right thing by anyone,” Cat told the truth. “We usually did it two or three times whenever we got together. This time he got up and started to dress after once. Not only did he piss me off totally, the bastard left me horny as hell! And I did so want that big c**k in my ass tonight. Oh, well. I guess I’ll have to be satisfied with my toys.” “If he sleeps around, Cat, how do you know he didn’t leave you a present?” “You mean a baby or an STD?” Cat asked. “Something like that,” Maddie confirmed. “I am on birth control and I get tested regularly,” Cat explained. “He hasn’t given me anything so far, but count on my seeing my gynecologist the first of next week.” I need to get ready for the next Mr. Big d**k. “If we keep drinking like this, you will be in no shape for anything,” Maddie chided her. They finished their drinks and ordered two more. They were feeling no pain. “I need to visit the little girl’s room,” Cat was getting uncomfortable. “Me, too,” added Maddie. “Watch our seats will you Mack?” “Sure thing, ladies. Hope everything comes out all right,” he joked. They giggled as they went toward the restrooms holding each other up. Neither of them was watching where they were going and they hadn’t gone far when Maddie bumped into a guy who was also not paying attention to where he was going as he looked around the bar. It was not a serious collision, but when Maddie looked up at him, her mouth dropped open and she couldn’t find anything to say other than, “Ah, excuse me.” The guy looked down at her and gave them both a big smile showing them the whitest teeth either of them had ever seen. “It’s quite all right,” he said, here let me help you,” and he steadied Maddie as she recovered her composure. Cat could only stare at him. He was gorgeous! Tall, about six feet, four inches, with sandy hair and green eyes. His muscular build added to his appearance and the girls both could see he worked out. He wore black jeans with a stylish white shirt and a black leather vest, unbuttoned and hanging loose. “Thanks for helping us,” Maddie said. “My name is Madison, but I go by Maddie. This is my BFF Catherine, and she goes by Cat.” “It is very nice to meet you. Now if you will excuse me?” He let them go on their way. No name, nothing else. They scurried to the restroom, smitten by the handsome stranger, and very ready to use the facilities. They finished and returned to the bar where Mack had made them fresh drinks. Mr. Gorgeous must have left, and they were disappointed not to see him. “Mack, did you see that guy we were talking to?” asked Maddie. “You mean the one you ran into and kept you from falling on your backside?” Mack kidded with them. “That’s the one. What a hunk!” she exclaimed. “Do you know who he is?” “I have seen him in here a couple of times, never alone, but that’s about it,” Mack explained. “Why do you want to know, as if I have to guess?” “Oh, no particular reason,” she responded. Cat hadn’t said a word since their encounter with the stranger. She finally chimed in, “The guys all get more handsome at closing time.” “It’s not even close to closing time yet,” Mack commented. “Then it must be the martinis,” Cat remarked. “Yeah. Must be,” Mack answered and went to wait on another customer. “That guy was gorgeous, Maddie,” Cat allowed. “He probably knows it though.” Let’s let it go, okay?” “Okay.” “Still,” Cat said, “I would love to meet him. Surest way to find out.” “Then, you are over Henry?” Maddie asked. “Henry who?” was Cat’s answer. “That my girl!” Maddie encouraged her. “Now let’s have some fun.”
